Last time one of my friends went to the Joe to watch the Stars play the Wings, his girlfriend was spat on by Wings fans because she was wearing a Stars jersey. I only mention that to point out that there is a very vibrant rivalry and gets taken to extremes from time to time.

I never said Ott was dirty... in this instance , but I do understand why Harding reacted the way he did. And really every team would've protected their goalie in the same way, rightly or wrongly.

I saw one game, don't remember who was playing, but one defender knocked a forward on top of his goalie, whistle, then another defender proceeds to attack the forward for being on top of his goalie, lol.

For me, it was the fact that Harding showed the fire that you want from a player. and his willingness to fight with Ott helped wake the team up. Now if they could only learn to play before they are down 4 goals :/
