I think a got a couple of your players. Uggh, I got myself in a bit of a pickle this season. I didn't upgrade my stadium efficiently. Also, I didn't pay attention to my ballooning staff salaries (and my expensive goalie).
Whenever I missed having a friendly or a home game, I very quickly went into the red.
So I spent the season avoiding bankruptcy, trying to boost my stands cheaply and getting rid of a few players. It looks like I am in better shape now, but I think I will go for more (cheaper) Aussies. The salaries of my foreign players/staff seem to climb quickly, and they are not even that good yet!

Teams having a good facilities and staff have pay less $$$ to players and it usually doesnt happen however I saw it for a first time, that one of my players required less money than when I bought him while he still improve its stats
So your facilities and staff could make a difference..if u look at player's salaries before u buy, it might save u a lot of money...
Also, if u get player which stayed at single club for long time, it will most likely be cheaper than someelse who kept swapping teams often..in fact it is worth to pay extra $$ while purchase to save it in long term perspective..

Thanks for the tips!
In my case, it was a combination of not checking salaries before I bought them as well as unwise stadium choices. (I had a stand of triple multi-purpose, with all the accessories and expenses, but mostly benches for the rest.)
I am in a better position now. I have a second triple multi-purpose now (without so many accessories) to even things out, as well as some mid-level stands instead of benches. I also replaced a few more expensive foreign players with some cheap Aussies. With a similar OR, I am finding the Aussies to be about 25-50% cheaper.
My Human Resources facility is ok (better than the rest of my facilities). I thought HR was responsible for salaries, but I haven't noticed much difference.

Triple max stadium is good as long as u have high HR and quality managers working in place, VIP lounge (the only really important, the rest give u just pocket change
), signing best offers, will give u the edge, otherwise u will spent too much for maintenance. And that's when quality managers could boost your income significantly.
U cannot increase all facilities at once as it is too expensive.. it's better to have one and if time + resources, then one more. However it is very difficult while building stands, choice of priority as everything at once just slows u down.
Don't think that PPM have bonus while signing local players, not sure to be honest, still if u get them from our top managers, they will be cheaper due to their high facilities...

It took me a while to find, but if you go to the Contracts section of the guide (http://soccer.powerplaymanager.com/en/guide.html#contracts) it says foreign players have salaries 25% higher than locals:
"The player salary depends mainly on the value of the two highest attributes, experience, popularity and league level. Higher league means higher expenses on player salaries. Foreign players have 25% higher salaries than local players. All players are considered as local players in the continental leagues regardless of their origin."

Oh, Thanks mate
Yeah, was looking for it in a hurry with no luck, even if its looks like, and never asked either..

You're at the point where you should start getting reasonable sponsorship offers next season and that should fix most of your money problems.
A big stadium is a good investment if people come through the gate. As long as it's not empty, the gate revenue will always exceed the stadium expenses. My max capacity stadium is always full so I rake in $8m every home game. You can certainly attract more people than your current capacity. My advice for the future is, when you can afford it, upgrade those triples to 10,000. It's more cost effective than building another big stand not at max capacity.
As for your facilities, I would invest a bit more in your training and regeneration facilities, again, when you can afford it. The improvement in player training increases exponentially with each level of these facilities. You'll notice a big improvement in team performance once their skills start rising more quickly. HR is good to get sponsorship deals so you're doing the right thing there but the sports academy is only worthwhile if you have the training facilities to take advantage of better quality juniors.

Yeah, I think larger stadiums are better. Things have gotten better financially since my second triple multi-purpose got finished. My mistake the first time was buying too many expensive stadium accessories that my team was losing money on so early in the game.
I have been getting near max capacity, but when I had 1 large stand + benches, the top level accessories were overkill. The mid-level stands I am building now should increase capacity for a much cheaper price.

Totally deserved. They didn't lose a league game all season and went further in international competition than any other Aussie team. Congratulations Knights!
Dagnabit!

Good luck to all in the League Cup... I think it might be an underestimate to say that Knights have the game against my team, Llorens, in the bag.
Don't forget to get training camps out of the way before league cup

Wow - very surprise my midfielder Stephen Little took out an individual league award "Top Passer" by a whopping 14 passes.
