Just a question - when can I begin to buy and sell on the market? Do I have to play a match in the league or something? 
I can't remember the exact timeframe, but there is a certain number of days that must pass before you can use the market.
You need 11 points of manager experience which comes from logging in on 11 different days. It's definitely worth buying players on the market because the players you start with are rubbish but don't overspend. In fact, I wouldn't spend more than $10k (the minimum) per player at this stage. Investing as much as you can in your training facilities now will be more productive for you in the longer term.

Good luck all Division 1 teams on their matches tonight. I had a look at the fixtures and there are some very tight games to be held with many of the games between similarly ranked teams on the standings. I know I'm currently the 19th placed team and I'm versing Adelaide (currently 20th).

Isn't it great to see the top half of the ladder so close that anything could happen to change the final standings. Any of the top 3 teams could snatched the win and 4 through 8 is equally as close. It's taken us a good number of seasons but the fight is finally on
