My my. It's like an avalanche of bad problems. You definitely need a UPS.
hydro was just installing a "smart meter" and cut my power without warning me. I should tell them they fried my laptop....
Do it! Ps. those smart meters only increase your electricity bill. My parents use less hydro and only during non-peak hours and their bills have gone way up. Load o' shit.

They also started to installed those in Quebec. I don't have one personally but where they did test, the bill went up, even made the news. We are already cripple under two taxes, it's insane how we pay here.
Don't get me started on how f-up'd our government system is. That's a whole new can of worms.

Going to get a lot of flack, but be happy Alberta is here, or those two taxes would be a lot higher... and a lot of benefits would be gone.
How? All the profits from the oil sands go to Alberta, not Canada. Energy is a provincial resource not a federal one. Non-Albertans don't see a dime from the profits. But hey, it's a good thing we don't share the same air or water systems that they're polluting

Except for the equalization payments Albertans have to pay to the other provinces, which equal around 4000 per Albertan every year.
Fair enough, but you'd think that this would be used to profit everyone and make energy more economical for all. It's not. I'm going to stop. No need to get off-topic on an off-topic forum haha.
