You did guess right on tactics. I assumed that the offensive tactic would be considered too risky since you give up more shots and goals, even against a last place team, and that active forechecking would be a safe tactic to use. Especially since I tend to use the defensive tactic a lot.
Lucky guess on my part. I was in a hurry this morning to set my tactics, so I just picked the first one that came to me. I figured you wouldn't expect me to use offensive, so I chose it. It can be quite scary when I counter somebody with it, considering I have over 100 shooting.
That's amazing that a team that made the playoffs right after promoting (back again) from tier III would let their team fold. Too many fairly established teams give up when they don't have immediate success.
Apparently a dead team beat me in tactics (though it still only had as many shots as my team had goals).
Four out of my top five prospects, including my new stud goalie, have received a long term injury in the last month. I think PPM is trying to tell me to get veterans and never have any prospects. =)
On D3 dude that finished 3rd (he failed 3 times to promote finishing either 2nd or 3rd 3 times in a row) also folded. he was playing since Season 3.
I noticed the teams that promoted when I started playing are most of them folding too.
There are 18 folded teams among D2 so far.

Well, that was a disappointing loss to the Crackers in the first game of the finals. My team dominated but the Crackers had 2 PP opportunities and scored two PP goals to push OT and win the S/O.
Congrats on promoting!
And good luck to the Crackers in the promotion round.

Hopefully I get good sponsors tomorrow. I have a maxed out manager who will retire in 8 days; I wonder how much I could get if he was available on the market for the third and fourth day of sponsorship offers. Maybe it might even be worth accepting a suboptimal sponsor.
I'm hoping for a nice increase, too. Moved from tenth to fourth in the league, and my otr is higher. I wish I would have worked on my stadium, though. That media sponsor need to go up.
So, how badly will my team get beat now they made it back to the II.2 League? I'm going to do what I can to keep my team here in II.2, if I can
Actually, you have a decent team. I don't think you'll have to worry about relegation. You might even be able to squeeze into the playoffs, but it's a long shot.
Well, poo. I had to start my second camp a couple of days ago, and I was hoping that my first two games this season would be easy since I'm missing almost half of my starters. But I got matched up against Itero and Momentum. Hopefully I can at least keep my Goal Differential at a respectable number.
Well, I'm out of here. Good luck to everyone and hopefully I won't see you again next season back down here.

Thanks for the comment. Took me a few seasons in III.8 to finally get back here, but now I am glad that my team was able to do it. With the promotion, I can definitely work on improving my team, especially with my team's roster.
