On a somewhat serious note, looks like I have a long season ahead of me. I have a lot of building/upgrading to do...

You only have to beat out one other team to remain in the league as there are three defunct teams that should end up in the bottom four.

Yeah, I think I'll be able to place top 16 no problem, it's just an odd change-up from last season. I'm not used to being blown out like that at all haha.

Oh well, I kind of like the extra competitiveness of League II. Even if it means I get destroyed 60% of the time, it's more fun than winning most of my games 20-0.

It's definitely been fun for me to be in a more competitive league with more than 8 active teams.

You actually may have a shot at 8th place this year, as there are 7 teams with a team strenghth over 100 before it drops off to about 87. I even managed to upset a few of those better teams last year, so you won't necessarily be destroyed all the time; especially if you don't get lazy with tactics. In fact, the two teams that got promoted would be below 7th place if they were still in this league with about 30 less team strength than the HCD Crackers (a litle more than the distance between you and third place for team strength).

Of course, I intend to take that 8th spot for myself. Especially when my best defender gets back from his injury.

Well if that's the case, I might have to steal 8th from you... Hope you're okay with 9th!

I made the mistake of looking through the first few weeks of the calendar to check team strength. Turns out I just play quite a few of the top 7 teams in the first few weeks. So maybe this season won't be as bad as I thought.
