Convincing win against my likely first-round opponent. Despite points in 36 of 37 games and having 102 points through 37 games (2.76pts/game) it comes down to game 38 to decide if I'll claim the season title or not.
Unfortunately I must do it against a top-5 team in the league too.

With today's 3-1 victory over the Infidels, the Raging Pigs clinch a top-2 placement in II.3 for the fourth straight season.
The Raging Pigs continue to seek the top spot. They will need a win over Fleur de Lys and some help from the Infidels to do so this season.

Infidels can't move up or down. I suspect they'll play VL. Don't expect me to go easy on them. Winning the league is more important to me than winning the playoffs

Did you need to spank me that bad on my home ice? Our fans left with disgust and we're calling for the owner's head.
I'd also like to tell everyone how awesome of league this has been. This is the only league in Canadian hockey with 20 active teams.

I'm now 3rd in II.3 by OTS. Looking nationally, there are some div3 teams ahead of me in OTS! Guess it is time to relegate

For the 2nd time in the last 4 season my starting goalie goes down with an injury just before the playoffs start. Hopefully this time my backup can stay healthy as well.
It happened to me once or twice in the last couple if seasons. My goalie or my best goal scorer. I'm pretty free of any significative injury in the regular season, but right before the playoffs, it's another thing...
Ya, a couple of seasons ago I had both my starter and backup go down just before the first round and had to play the whole first round with my third stringer. Luckly I still won.
Great season everyone. Aside from a f-up on my part that cost Tim Newton the sv% title by being shy 15MP with 6 games remaining and not playing him I'm happy with the season. II.3 has really turned into quite the competitive league. Looking forward to next year!
Who's Urban Berta? It looks like he doesn't have a team
Congratulations to RCR for there regular season championship ans good luck to all in the playoffs and promotion/relegation. I feel sorry for the Calgary Patches in 9th position just short of a playoff spot for the second year in a row.
I was looking at the top 12 at the start of the season but finished the regular season in 13th. Hope to finish the series somewhere between 9 and 12 and avoid playing a relegation series.

Just for comparison's sake, I'm bringing back my pre-season predictions.
Not bad, all in all. Predicted the top-4, with the only surprise being that Dino dropped to 4th.
Called Infidels, Flames, Stimulators to make the playoffs and said that one of Badass, Metro, Hammers, Georgian Bay, Maple Leafs, Patches, and Kicesie, would take the final spot. I know, not a very specific prediction, but 6/7 of those teams finished sequentially between 8th and 13th. What happened to the Maple Leafs of Sarnia?
