Well, in all honesty, I thought you would win that game, easily, but, my TwigStarz have been playing well this season. I've noticed, coincidentally happening as well right now, that teams can go on a roll, and, regardless of how they play, tactic wise, get bounces, luck, more than at other times when they're say, mired in a slump. I know next time I play you, I'm sure the outcome will be vastly different in your favor.
Don't count on it. My team lives and dies with the powerplay this season. So if you can keep the penalties to a minimum you can beat me again.
I just played, well, in my last 3 games vs. a very weak team, Renamed 52009, in friendlies, and each time, beat them 17-1. Which, shocked me, how they were all the same scores. Then I compared game summaries. Give or take a few things, and the energy I played, they were EXACTLY the same. I mean, I played 4 lines in one game, 3 in the other 2, and obviously the players doing the scoring weren't the same, but, the rest was eerily similar.

Unrelated, but, just out of curiousity, I went to terminate a 100-100, 60 year old staff members contract. Compensation would have been 6.7 million. My staff cost me 1.9 mil per day, I've been hovering around broke for a few weeks now.. :/
try and sell him instead. he might sell for virtually nothing but at least you don't have to pay the compensation.
I had the same problem a few seasons back, i got rid of all my expensive staff. I kind of regret getting rid of the coaches though. it slows down player training alot.

I did, I put him on the market. Better getting a small return than having him eat up my money til his contract expires, and he retires.
Jim Addison, LD of the Raging Pigs, was snubbed by the all-star selection committee today.
With all due respect to the 2G, 1A, +3 performance by Patrick Potvin, Addison's 1G, 2A, +1 performance came in a much closer match. Addison was also involved in two PP goals, meaning both were effectively +3s.
Potvin scored and assisted upon the 7th and 8th goals in an 8-2 blowout against a non-playoff team. On the other hand, Addison scored a game tying power play goal in the first and then assisted on the go-ahead PP and insurance even strength goals in the third against a playoff team.
To me, this is a no-brainer selection and yet again, the all-star selection committee is shown to have no brains.

at least they got the goalie right finally.
What a steal my goalie gave me!

On the other hand, my star goaltender was a sieve.
Patches winger Timothée Martineau scored a goal last night to reach the milestone of 200 career points with the team. He is the 5th player to reach that range. The goal came in a tight game where the Xenons managed to take the edge only on shot percentage, notching 8 to the Patches 2. Xenons defenseman Patrick Potvin did especially well helping deflect the Patches offense as well as netting a pair of goals himself.
I could have my 5th player hit 200 points this season as well. just 9 points shy
