I think slavko74 is the best candidate not only from the tactical point of view but also bacause he can help improve the training of some players with his advice.

I have 2 first positions, 2 second and 1 third and I am probably suck on tactics.

No offense to any candidate, but there is at least one serious Canadian candidate who has proven himself to be somewhat capable with his own team for the past few seasons... While it's appreciated to get some foreign attention, I'm pretty sure Canadian managers will recognize that we can manage Canada NT ourselves

However, knowing there are probably no more than 150 active Canadian teams, and only a few dozens who can contribute to NT players in a short or mid term perspective, I would challenge the candidates (especially foreigners) as well as our new national captain Canucks (and the French speaking helpers including Thegreatrikkou) to make sure most of those teams are on board. While I see some activity in French in hockey forums, I'm under the impression it's not as much in soccer. Let's make sure we don't let teams down the road...

Canadian managers have decided to fire the coach. It's the hard reality of being coach I guess, easier than firing the whole team! You have my support considering the candidacies I've seen. But I doubt a new coach will have the emotional impact one usually hope in real life

Then I wish you have a magic wand and some rabbit to pull out of your hat and making this team as competitive as it could be - on paper. There will be a lot of pressure on our guys to perform - they will have to be prepared in consequence ^_^

Also, I've noted some players in NT have questionable career paths... This is something that should be addressed sooner or later, preferably sooner...

Whomever is elected DO NOT remove any players unless you don't want them on the NT. DO NOT remove then re-assign them to the NT. This will lose all chem that was built up this season.

There's really no need for this, especially when you still manage to get your facts wrong.
You got your point across awhile ago -which is fine- but that should've been it.

The only comment I will argue is the career path comment. I was very explicit about the structure of the team even before I ran. I suggested only 1 line of starters and a small handful of backups judged purely on the games own rating system. All other players are the best trainers for their positions that were submitted. I believe being very upfront about the structure of the team was why I was elected. And yes I did ask to be voted out. I hope for better results from the next season, but if it isn't, I hope people will be understanding to the new managers, that even the best team can lose despite what you do.

I don't get your point. Elections are a good timing to ask questions IMHO.

No insult was meant. Didn't know wether the change was planned or not - result is the same: elections. My concern is more about what's next: firing the coach will not be enough, and changes might be required. Since there are many candidates, some we don't know, what are their plans?

Regarding CL path, there are some guys that could be removed from the team, such as Claude Kester who has seen very little action. He might have been a good insurance policy last season, but With CL 4 at 18, he's not a long term member of the team...

I would also be curious to hear candidates how the announced change on training ratio would impact current lineup knowing some guys have weaker secondaries?

Ketch is a great manager and by no mean I wanted to offend him. Sorry if I wrote something that might have been misunderstood. On the contrary, I respect the work he has done during the past season and I don't remember having ever criticizing any decision made by Canada's GM.

However, we now have elections. Slavko is the most credible candidate at this time IMHO. But I would be curious to hear what have others to say. This will be a new season, It's a good time to hear what changes are suggested.

I'll always say this, ask and I will explain every selection I made. That is why it took so long. Its funny because people wanted me to have 35 players picked in 1 week, but then I have faced endless drills on every single player multiple times, why him, why them, etc.

Ask FtYoshi, he put me through the ringer on a few guys, but I think I gave legit reasons.

Claude Keester was because I started drafting forwards, Robby F, and Claude were highest performers during league cup season 4, but then Brody Kennedy came out of the training camp a monster! NK questioned me on that and I admited he was better. No way to avoid it though because Brody Kennedy had not played a competitive game at the start of the season for a while I hadn't had a chance to see his ratings.

I do agree with you on moving forward. Just because someone was the right answer or wrong answer this season, next season is a new year, and the new managers should look to change things where it makes sense. I think CKs is trying to say you came off a bit insensitive, and now both of you are going to fight to the DEATH... I mean until Saint2e comes in here and breaks it up.

GM is an easy target for people who're not under the spot... If Slavko is going to be next, you should wish him good luck

It's pointless to discuss decisions made last season, and by now way my intention. But we need to discuss what's next (what's right now doesn't necessarily mean that was wrong last season...)
