Elton Lai is now on the team. I agree with people's recommendation there.

Jean Hilderly looks like he will be a good player. Unfortunately he has the plague. And by that I mean his CL is 5/6 at 16. From research that Canucks357 did, this is the worst career path for any player. He will likely plummet in CL over the next few seasons
Also we have a lot of very good midfielders so the competition for a spot is fierce.

Okay, last post for now. Who do we want to see as backup goalie for Canada?

Should we let old man Pemberton in from OAP? or should we pick younger blood, even if they are not as good.
For instance, Tavon is a 51 goaltending (on team strength) and Pemberton is 53. However Pemberton is at 4/6 CL and 23 years old.

What are their respective EXP? If both have around the same experience, I say put in Tavon, but if Pemberton has a lot more experience, put in Pemberton for this season, we need to have a strong keeper in case Todd goes down, and Pemberton has always been one of the best in the game.

I would say Pemberton for this season and for the next Tavon or what do you say about Honoré Hines he is 52 goaltending on team strenght and he is 18 years old(Tavon 19 years), better OR then Tavon, same AQ and CL but I don't know Tavon atts and exp since I don't have him scouted. I am sure you know about this one from HL Football Taylor Brydon , he might be better then both above mentioned but only his CL is 4/6 and exp is low.
This is just my input about goalie and like you I would love to hear from other managers.

OR means nothing for choosing. If someone played 60 goaltending and had 250 OR, they would be picked.

Honore Hines being a 52 is interesting, I wasn't suggesting we pick Tavon necessarily, I am asking if we should pick someone LIKE Tavon OR Pemberton who I think is the 2nd highest goalie in Canada (and ALL of the secondary goalies are pretty much like Tavon).

Also in reply to Oldtimehockey4, experience is just a simple multiplier... it doesn't make someone more reliable, or wise or something like that. Just want to be sure we know what its actually doing.
Most people believe it adds 20% bonus for every 100 XP
So each 1XP would be 0.2% bonus

XP is automatically taken into account by the goaltending team strength indicator. So the answer is yes, that is considered

Anyone done any scouting on all of the goalies and want to say why they would pick one over the other based on their attributes?

Pemberton!!! Haha. His 4/6 sucks, I know, but he's training in the top facilities in the world AND has great Qs... still training close to a pt/day.


@Ketch - Worst CL path is 4/6 at 17 years old. 5/6 at 16 could mean 5/6 at 19 years old it all depends.

Too bad my goalie isn't Canadian and plays for UK team. Otherwise he could be a candidate.

Agreed. He trains .8/day or higher in all attys except for one. He's about all I was given when my team started and he was old then. No offence taken - that's just the reality of it. I'm likely highly partial to him however I think in terms of a No.2 he's our best bet. From my experience with hockey NTs and PPM in general, the bigger the games the more important experience is. I challenge anyone to find a player with more experience in Canada.

However, when it comes to selecting a No.2/3 GK, I will stay out of it, as I said... I'm likely a tad partial

Ahhh ya 16 and 5/6 could mean anything from 4/6 at 17 to 4/6 at 20

I updated my players and added a few for you young and talented to see.
My back up golie is added but I don't fell he is a good option because EXP (but most times when he is on the net he get scored less than Tood)

Logan Breton U Defender. I really like this guy. Effective qualities north of 85. CL 6/6@16. Plays on a team with great facilities.

I also think a player from [soccer_team=30099] should be named to the Team.

I have him scouted. Certainly NT worthy. His a universal SB so can play RB or LB. A handy sub to have if he doesn't make the starting 11.
