I think they are pretty tied to a set feeder system. It does have the advantage that if you are relegated and then promote again, you are playing against many of the same teams.
The problem is that if you promote then relegate, there is a good chance you will end up somewhere else. In the real world, the feeders are geography based, so you might promote from III.Texas to II,South to I.USA
But then you have to either let leagues have variable numbers of teams, which makes schedules really messy, have approximate relegations (if teams from Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Detroit were to relegate, Chicago would go the II.South, Detroit to II.East, Milwaukee to II.Central, and Minneapolis to II.West), or let teams swap leagues.
So probably the most that can be hoped for is to have some balance.

Hey,
Can any1 explain me why I received in league matches only 21 goals in 23 matches ? My goalkeeper has only 52 stars while the defense has 40 stars !!

1. Very good goalkeeper.
2. Your opponents in league have bad shoot.

So, about those tactics...
Do player attributes have an effect on how well you play the tactic, or is it mainly a rock-paper-scissor matchup thing?
Hopefully player attributes matter and then by extension, you could assign tactics on a per line basis. Otherwise it would take a much larger effort to move in this direction.
So if attributes matter, has anyone figured out what each tactic requires attribute-wise from your players?

I wish I knew the factual answer. The more I see of the game the more I think it's just a big pile of randoms. Many low tech/agg guys for some teams with less penalties then even tech/agg for others. Low sho skill players regularly outshooting high ones. The same can be said for passing.
If you have to teams from the same region does it still count as a derby game if it's in league play?
i live on the east coast usa, i was wondering why the games are played around noon my time but the updates (practices and such) are not done until 11 or so EST?
Games are played at 18:00 PPM time, which is noon EST. However, the updates are done at what they think is midnight "your" time, which I believe comes to about 11pm EST. No one knows why. LOL
The updates happen for me at 1pm in the afternoon, and the live games are 2am in the morning.
