... New owner.. new team. Just got my team, after the season has concluded. Looks like there is enough time to do a training camp before the season resets... any point doing it?.. Can it hurt?
Additionally, as long as you start a camp this season, it counts for this season even if it runs into the start of the next one.
... does every player need to play in a game or friendly to optimize his training % (irrespective of your facilities)... can you be playing too much?
The more a player is on the ice the weaker his training will be. This can be adjusted based on the regen facility but guys who don't play train more than guys who do.
... so your best rookies... you don't want to play games ? ... but.. don't you want them getting experience?
... so what is the accepted happy medium?... play rookies in league games but not friendlies maybe?
I prefer to use two lineups. I have obviously my main team of my strongest players, and utilize my backup goalie to help build chemistry. I then use my second team which is made up of not as great OR veterans mixed with young potential. This allows half of my team to train at 100% every day, as well as build chemistry and experience. I especially use my backups in friendlys I know I'll have no chance of winning. To me its just a friendly, a chance to build chemistry and experience, as well as get some money.
so you have 3 lines of regulars.. and another 3 lines of players as your b team?.. play one in league 1 in friendlies?
I actually run 4 lines both ways. A lot of vets do 3 and 3, I prefer 4 and 4. Mainly because of energy levels throughout the season. It's a personal choice. I also choose to run with around 44 guys, and have to pay a daily fee of around 7k to keep an extra 4 guys. Those 4 guys are youngsters that will be great in about a year. Just the choice I make. I like having a b squad for friendlies as it gives my main team a day off, and a chance to train at 100%.
They must be paid by the end of this season. What brotherke23 said was when they initially came out. They're locked at the end of a season I'm 99% sure.
