What i did was buy a guy at 25 before he became a RFA. Sure he cost 18M but I picked up a guy with 1000 overall. Then when the next year I matched the 8M signing bonus. Just a thought.

Nah man, you did the right thing and beat me. I'm not complaining about that. It just seems this goalie is so inconsistent considering he's got a 1100 rating. I just expected him to perform a little better than my last guy who was about 150 points in the goalie attribute behind him.

Unfortunately Penskid is dying a slow death. One login in 10 days. I think I've sent him a couple of messages about adding an assistant, but he neither replied nor complied.

i dont get why people vote on people who dont log in often. I remember begging people not to vote for President (soccer) as i was afraid that would happen. he ended up losing his team.

that i going to be a big bummer if we dont have an active U20 this season.

Nothing against penskid as I dont even know him, but come on... just check his previous logins. he is not consistent and at times would stay more than a week without logging in.

Min for a NT team would have to be 5 days and ideally every day or at least every other day.

He may not being dying, just away ... I hope he comes back, set an assitant and be more active

I think he got the nod because he was J0J0's assistant last season. He seemed like a good choice at that point. I don't think he went AWOL until it was too late for anyone else to sign up.

If he adds an assistant, what are some things the assistant can't do? Add players? Schedule games? Anything?

Not sure what assistant cant do cause i was never a main manager before to know what i could lol.

Dont think assistant can add players,l change stadium or setup schedule. Or maybe i couldnt cause the lines were full and schedule were all set.

current U18 assistant manager could answer this question easier as i am guessing caps is still scheduling matches.

It is possible that penskid is just on vacation or momentarily occupied. I bet he'll eventually be back and add someone at some point (though it would help if someone was prepared to volunteer).

As for the election, nobody really seemed interested and he was the assistant manager last year; he may or may not have played an active role last year, though I'm pretty sure he set up the lineup for at least a few games last year. For the national team, the Slovakian guy (from a medium Slovakian league) probably could have won if bulls4ever didn't run.

Honestly, now that players cannot be dismissed, there isn't much that penskid absolutely has to do in case of the worst case scenario where he doesn't sign back in. He seems to have a lineup set up. It's good to rotate out players when they are in camp, but in the end, it's just a matter of not wasting a small bonus. The players will gain chemistry automatically. The schedule is already set. The team could forfeit if there are too many injuries at some point (it will help if the team has 5 scratched players at each position - using the maximum of 6 scratched players). The biggest problem will be tactics once the World Championships come around.

I would be really disappointed if the U20 lost its manager though since every single player on the team is a former U18 player from my two years with the U18 team. There are a lot of 19 year olds (from a strong year) in particular, and many of them seem to be in the starting lineup. Whatever happens, next year's team is going to have great chemistry. It may or may not be intentional since JOJO was the one to add the players from the U18 team, but it could turn out to be a great strategy to "ride last year's wave."

The manager can dismiss players, add players, call up players, send down players, create lineups, send out challenges, accept challenges, change the stadium, change the assistant, assign the team goalie mask, see the attributes (but not the qualities) of players on the team (including unscouted palyers), change tactics, see team members on the market, see past world championship statistics, see the past managers and their results, and spam a private forum.

I'm not really sure what the assistant can do. I know that the assistant can change lineups and tactics. The assistant definitely Cannot schedule matches (Ziggy00 was not able to schedule games after taloncarde went AWOL until he became the manager). I believe the assistant can see the roster with all of the attributes. The assistant probably can't dismiss or add players.

assistant can see the atributes just like the manager. there is a "settings" tab taht is not visible to assistant.

My disapointement is the lack of interest adn then we end up with "dead" managers....

that is the reason why i took the challenge. I am not experienced but in general I want USA to develop.

With database in place, all 3 managers can discuss and make plans together for the future of USA. A manager that is not very active or dead wont help.

Im hoping he is just at hawaii enjoying a nice vacation and will come back full speed

I think the problem with PensKid is J0J0 said he was grooming him. That's why I didn't even bother to check him out. It seemed like the perfect setup. Current manager grooms assistant to take over next campaign. I assumed he was ready for it and committed.

In the last message to him about adding an assistant, I volunteered myself if he had no one else in mind. I'd hate to waste this group of players that capsaicin is so excited about.

He has always been a one day on then awhile off.
