I'm a contractor with them as a payload lead on one of Curiosity's instruments. I was stationed there for a couple months back when it landed, now I only return twice each year for team meetings.
That's awesome, Before life derailed on me I wanted to go for a degree in mechanical engineering/Mechatronics so pretty much every project at JPL piques my interest. =)
I used to have free-range access to JPL. But then about 6mo ago some other foreigners on Curiosity took their badges home (big no-no) and they revoked access rights to all foreign non-site Curiosity folk. Kinda sucks, I loved spending lunch at the Mars Yard.
That would certainly suck, Besides you're Canadian... More like a second cousin than a foreigner.
Oh I know. And it is much more of a pain in the ass to get server access/badges if you're from Russia!
Anyways, back to the main topic: draft day!

Nice! I mean, it makes sense they are rare. How often do you get 4* players from the academy? At least with the draft you have a more reasonable shot at getting one. If you don't, you can at least target positions you want.
Now if only I can draft him. My Picks are 12, 29, 52 and 65.
I have 1,39,40. I suspect I'll get my "A" and then be lucky if there are any 6/6 "B" players left.
As far as I'm concerned, getting an A player and nothing else is an absolute win. I'd take one star player over several "key" players any day of the week.
Here's another question though... how many players are in your draft pools? I'm in division 3 with only like six active teams and only a few rounds planned in the draft. We have roughly 35 players. I'd imagine leagues with more teams and/or more planned rounds would have more players in the pool?
Aha. That would definitely probably help with the odds of having a star player amongst them.
