What's happening on game day #37?
FC Corona vs Arlington Betamax. I didn't even look at the other match-ups, but this is easily the game of the day.
Boilermakers might have a chance to make up some points as they play the massively struggling Phenomenon (losers of 7 of 8).
High Headerz v Dead Buckeyes.
Atomics play seal71's NY Cosmos.
Ooh. 6th place Wildcats vs 8th place Firehoses. Can the Hoses backup goalie keep the ball out of the net?
Psychos play the Dead Bombers.

That Corona v Betamax game is huge for the top 7 teams. It would certainly help me if the Betamax lose, but it would also make things a hell of a lot more interesting if 1st & 2nd were only separated by one point. The Betamax are on a ridiculous hot streak. 16W-3D-1L in their last 20! How annoying is that?

And the Wildcats probably need to win to stay in contention for a top 5 finish.

I have 3 starters suspended today- still not sure how I want to approach this game. I'm out matched if everyone was playing...

Hey tujague, I just noticed you built most of the accessories in your stadium stands. Did you need to do that to get sellouts, or did you just build them because you could?

That's a good question. One of those things I wrestled with for a bit. Originally I was building them all just because they were there. But I actually stopped when I realized I was always selling out. I just hit 62k seats and sold out again. So I guess I still don't need them. We'll have to see what happens next season when I drop to 10th or 11th, but for now they're unnecessary.

I'll still build the remaining VIP Lounges, Press Boxes and Restaurants, but the attendance boosting things can wait.

Scary day for the Atomics tomorrow vs the High Headerz on the road. Three points out of 3rd place. Are you kidding me? I can't believe that. This season was pretty dismal for a long time. I never thought I'd be this close in the end. I'm missing Leroy Blount , one of only four good dmen on the team, but I think Blackkat is missing the bigger player in Adam Engdahl . Hopefully it's a good game. I think I'm going to need Roman Černohorský to stand on his head.

I completely forgot that fan shops boost souvenir sales instead of attendance - I'll have to get those built up. (You said restaurants in your post, but I think fan shops is what you meant.)

It does seem pretty pointless to build attendance boosters when the stadium is already selling out - they'd only make a difference in friendlies and basically just be covering their own maintenance (at best). I guess I'll have to wait till the middle of next season to see how attendance shapes up with a maxed stadium in the middle of the standings.

Wow, I knew I was hot, but I didn't realize it was 16-3-1 (well, 16-3-2 now). That's nuts. Makes me wish I didn't squander any shot at the top of the table in the first month. By game 19, I was still sitting in 13th...that's not really a hole you climb out of to win a league.

Realistically, though, my guys are exhausted, after the NC championship and reaching the ChL semis. I used a lot of energy on both of those, and I'm still trying to save energy to pull off a ChL upset on Wednesday. You're going to be tough to catch, especially with that big GD lead.

The Fan Shops were actually not one of my favorite things. Not until I hit 50-60k seats anyway. It was during construction on a lot of sections of the stands, but I did some quick and dirty math a few times and I wasn't even making enough to cover daily costs. The end of this season has been much better as I added seats. I only recently covered the seasonal daily costs (7-8M for 12 Fan Shops). I guess everything past this point will be profit. I had a huge Souvenir day (over 600k) for my first home game with 62,400 seats. I expect to break even much sooner next season. So now I'm adding a few more

Quintin Brennan is ridiculous. 31 IGR! You must have a ton of energy left. He's not much better than McCready, who only gets a 24. Ray Mac has 81 energy left=)

GG tujague, most of my starters are around 90 or above in energy.

I know I'm a bit biased here, but I wouldn't call that a 'good game' on any level Nice energy though. I tried to conserve energy and ended up in 11th place

This tightens everything right back up. I had gotten some separation for a bit, but it's back to 3 points from 4th to 7th. Damn.

And I'm short another dman vs FC Corona. Melenec picked up his 8th card. Eff me. That's going to be just as bad as this one. Maybe I'll switch to a 3-4-3 or something.

I have a little more energy than usual due to a disappointing run in the NT this season & no extra leagues games.

Well if I can maintain this momentum, I still have Psycos & Team USA to play this season.
