Man, it sounds really bad when you put it that way...I prefer to think of it as getting the opportunity to play in the NC finals and CWC playoffs . Of course, that's loser talk, and we all know what Sean Connery has to say about that (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z... ).

I'm kinda bummed about dropping from 4th to 8th (was 9th before the most recent game), but it's something I expect to happen given my energy usage - start off fairly high then drop down a bit at the end. I end up in the same league placement as if I was more conservative with energy use, only in that case it would be to start off low then rise up to my final placement. Ticket sales reward the first strategy much more than the second, so the end of every season will be a bit of a bummer for me.

Not surprised. For the last three weeks, it seems like all of my players were replaced with talentless shells of their former selves.

yesterday my goalie got injured, two others can't play - two many yellows. I believe I'll get another chance next season in full strength.

Sorry I was surprised when you dropped, so I had to look a bit deeper. It just kept getting worse and worse the more I looked Your way of looking at it sounds much better=)

It's not really planned or anything, but I seem to do the opposite- I start slow and finish strong. Usually I play more backups early on, but that wasn't really the case this season or last. I'm trying to make an effort to stay closer to the top.

Unfortunately I had one of those funks like KillerPuck mentioned. I had a miserable 2-1-5 stretch that killed my chances to compete for the title. Well, that and not being able to beat the top 3.

What a fun season!! Gotta spend some real (fake real) money today to compete for next year...

Getting to the NC finals and CWC playoffs puts some significant extra strain on the team, which is really starting to show right now. I've had backups filtering in much sooner this season than usual.

I almost wouldn't miss playing in all those extra OTR boosting games and just focusing on the league...

I know what you mean. Anytime I've been in an Intl Cup it has ruined my league play. Especially if I try to go far.
Season 3- 3rd in ChL, 11th in league
Season 5- ChL participation(), 6th in league
Season 6- CWC Champ, 11th in league
Season 7- Sweet 16, 4th in league
Avg 8th place in league when in Intl Cup.

My other three seasons have been 1st (II.4), 1st & 4th. Avg of 2nd place.

And after winning the CWC, I didn't see a huge jump in sponsors! Probably because I finished 11th in league. That was one of the reasons why I focused more on league play in season 7. I could have done more but I used prospects to get me to the sweet 16. Then I finished in 4th and I think my sponsors improved by 50%.

Looks like i will play Huggy Bears for promotion, which is very good.

Outside, I don't think it matters who you have to play. You'll definitely be up here next season. Baton Rouge is the only team who might give you trouble, but doug doesn't seem too interested in staying in I.1

FC Corona should take care of business vs the Magic Kicks. Ditto for the Boilermakers v Resovia. Although Resovia will be playing on Very High, so something interesting could possibly happen. High Headerz hould be okay vs the Corsairs. Atomics play the dead Bombers.

It's looking like a boring day so far=)

Betamax should beat the NY Cosmos. Wildcats should handle the VL Baton Rouge Bombers. Unless doug wants to help me out

My end of the season trip to the cellar continues, and is making me glad I spent all that money this season on the stadium. Gonna need a nice media sponsor deal to cover the loss from the general.

VL, VH same difference. I wanted to conserve energy early in the year, and just try to keep teams close when I was clearly out matched- it didn't quite work as I fell to far and should have gone for it a little more, but I'm hoping I can avoid the relegation game- it'll be close. If not I should have decent energy and a shot at staying up.

You definitely should put a bit more energy into some of these games. You had a string against the top 3 where you played all on VL and went 0-2-1. I don't do that well and I'm trying to beat them.
