I went the other way. I figured it would make more sense to try to dominate a few parts of the pitch instead of control the whole thing. Especially during the first few seasons. I'm much more conservative now.
In the early days, I thought of my formation as a flexible tree leaning in the wind. If it was blowing from the left, I wouldn't have anyone in the LF or LM squares. Coming from the right left the RF & RM squares empty. It worked the first two seasons when I was forced to use a Mid at forward.
Then I started grooming some real forwards and things fell apart offensively. I was confused as hell for the longest time, but it looks like I've finally recovered this season.

Have things changed recently? I was under the impression that anyone who played lost a full game of energy even if they only played 15 minutes. That was why I stopped using subs.
I think they fixed that a season or two ago. Drove me nuts early on, and I stopped using subs then, but I'm pretty sure it's based on minutes played now. The guide says "The decrease of current and seasonal energy of players is based on minutes played."
Yeah, they changed it a season or two ago. Could be useful to save energy on starters if you take the trouble to set it all up.
I used to sub in my goalie for the last 30-35 minutes. I thought I was being so smart having a relatively fresh guy in there=) Then I found out it wasn't working that way and forgot all about subs.
I might have to rethink that. The last game against Bayern Munich would have been a perfect time to use some subs.

What? Dang. So wish you could pass your team on to someone else.
anyone following leggs stadium? HOLY COW. 7 days from 70,000 seats. Wonder how much hell get from that if its full. Does the parking need to be maxxed out as well to make it full?
Did you see it though? Doesnt matter who it is. Crazy.
I think its very reasonable for the Assistant NT manager to be keeping track of the top stadium(s) in the country. I think its less about who the stadium belongs to and more about the size of it. I also don't care how he paid for it as long as the NT can use it.
That's what I was thinking too. And with the 9th-most money in the league, he's got enough to keep it operational even if the sponsors don't offer him much after this season.
We were 0-2 in Raleighwood anyway. Next week we switch to The Grill.
