Seriously? I thought the CWC spots were decided by position in the league

CWC is decided by the Cup, though the teams that qualify for the Champion's League through the league go to the Champion's League, allowing the remaining best teams from the Cup to make the CWC, depending on how many slots the United States gets for a particular year.

That is why I played in the CWC last season, though I've never broken the top 14 in league I.1 (I somehow even made it to the final 4).

Alright. I thought it was like in real life football, where the top 4 go to the Champions League and the next 4 to the Europa League, and it's entirely based on League rankings

I suppose I should be happy finishing second, but I really thought I might finally win something this season . Having both my SD's suspended for the final didn't help, I guess.

Actually, even here, that depends on the cup winner. Usually, the top clubs in Europe also win the cup competitions, which means that they cede the Europa League spot to the next best-placed team in the league. If you recall a few seasons ago when Wigan beat Manchester City in the FA Cup but got relegated, they were still playing in the Europa League. It happened with Birmingham too, when they beat Arsenal in the League Cup; they still played in the Europa League despite playing in the Championship. It also happens in the other leagues, but I think the English club cups shows a bit more volatility (supposed "romance of the cup". This is the case with most leagues around the world - the cup winner usually gets a berth into the continental club competitions.

I just pulled a 500+ OR player for the first time ever.

Too bad we can't trade or even sell draft spots. I am sitting in the 2 spot for the draft and have only scouted Bs, Cs, and Ds. Hope I hit on an A or A plus.

I found an A (though with that said, even A's that I've found in hockey with nearly perfect scouting have been disappointments).

I doubt I'll get it though since teams in I.1 can all scout a large portion of the draft pool and have good scouting. I'd offer to sell the information if it were possible and also if it were not a possible violation of the terms of service.

I'm dropping my team soon. Should I put players on the market or nah?

I'm sure that there are managers that would be interested in your players, especially the veterans with good OR and any prospects with good qualities and decent OR.

Yeah just soccer and probably basketball. I really don't check those at all.
