Joined as well.
Maybe my RBs will be more productive this time around.
Last season I drafted Clinton Portis and Steve Slaton while Chris Johnson was still on the board.

Just joined as well. Hopefully I don't get too confused with the other 1300 fantasy leagues I am in.

I'm in, but a live draft will most likely be an issue. Can we change the format so that we all don't have to be online at the same time?
Regardless, I don't know a whole lot about football (I'm a hockey fan, Jim!)

nvm, it will use ranking regardless. That will work.
Speak about familiarity with american football :S
But if it's fun, and I guess it must be....let's try.

Usually if you can't make the live draft it will auto draft for you. Key things to watch out for is to make sure players who recieve injuries in the pre-season or who retire are on your list. For example, Brett Favre may possibly be retired, so you don't want him #1, etc etc
usually the pre-sorted rankings are good, just flip through them and make sure you don't have anyone like that. And if you do, there is always a surprise player who is availible as a free agent to grab, etc.

This is shaping up nicely! We only have 3 spots left so to anyone just thinking about joining may want to get on it as there may not be room for long!
With all these Dallas teams I'm expecting Romo to get drafted fairly early. That's not all bad since he should have a solid year!
I would encourage everyone to do plenty of mock drafts as practice before the real draft. It'll not only help you get familiar with the process it'll help you get familiar with the players and the way different sites rank them. Another thing is it'll help you try out different draft strategy whether it be rb/rb/wr/wr, or rb/qb/wr/rb etc Here are links to a few places to do mock draft. I'd suggest you of course do nfl.com mocks since that's where our league is but also do some at the other places.
fantasy.nfl.com/draftcent...
games.espn.go.com/ffl/moc...
football.fantasysports.ya...
There are a LOT of places to go to learn about players and draft strategies. Some may enjoy that more than others and to anyone it can be a bit overwhelming. If you're only going to look at one web page to try and prepare for the draft I would suggest
football.razzball.com/wp-...
There are some other good articles on the razzball site as well as strategy tips.
There are a lot of opinions but this guy seems to get good rankings in the past:
sports.espn.go.com/fantas...
Keep in mind that anyone can pick the first couple players and have a decent chance of doing well. Leagues are often won and lost by the players selected in the middle of the draft (in our case you could say like the 48th-96th overall picks)

Number 10... I wonder how many people have seen this thread expecting association football... which does not make a good fantasy game.
Glad to hear you joined us! I'm not familiar with association football. What is it?
