Lol some bigshoulders neckless guy. He finally found it I guess.
This is my first fantasy season ever, so I'm wondering why couldn't I remove Peyton Hillis from rooster to bench ? It was obvious that he aint gonna do much today, but I couldn't move him. Is this common thing like you have to have a non-movable guy in team?
Did you try that this morning? Games started at about 2 hours ago and I reckon you need to have your line-up in before that.
Peyton Hillis has always had a red dot in front of his name when I selected someone from bench to step up.
I noticed that first time in week 10 I think.

That's because he's been putting up a lot of points. Brady and Mendenhall had the same dot to their name. I thought it just meant they couldn't be dropped from your team. I moved both of them to the bench during their bye weeks without problems. Brady was benched today but I don't recall him having the red dot. Eeoulu might be able to confirm that.
They can be moved to the bench but not dropped from your team. This is to prevent you from stacking a team like the Vowelrifics by dropping a bunch of high profile players that he could sign with his waiver seeding.
Anyway, even if I could do that it wouldn't do a trick. It's not over yet, but Slacklar has beaten me to the bone as it appears. Congratulations on this game Erik, I wish it was more interesting but unfortunately it wasn't.
I'm more than satisfied with this season, stayed on pins and needles in last weeks. So from the point of a bloke who didn't know one player to mention from NFL, I think I made some progress

Well it seems to be all over but the crying. That means a big grats to Erik over at Grim River is in order for winning this thing! So GRATS Erik!!
I hope y'all found this season as fun as I did. Even tho I pretty much stunk it up, I had a good time. I hope you'll consider another season of fun next year! Watch for it!
If you haven't had enough playing of fantasy games this year yet I would encourage you to try the nfl.com playoff challenge! It's free to play and you can win some sweet prizes! The one catch is that it's only open to residents of the US :/ You can sign up here challengegames.nfl.com/la...
Again, thanks to all for playing and making this a fun FFL season! Ohhhhh, I should add, I got huge respect for guys like Popaji who came in, stuck with it, and performed very well and had never played this type of game before! It's even more remarkable how quick of a study (he in particular) were in learning about football!!

That's exactly right DA, it's known in our league as the "anti make Vowelrifics not suck" rule. The only way a person couldn't move a guy like Hillis out is if his game had started, or they didn't have an eligible replacement for the roster spot.
Thanks! I'm glad the decision to start Bradford over Brady didn't come back to bite me in the ass, which it very well could have considering the points they put up.
Part of the fun in sports and fantasy games in particular is that you can come in without knowledge of the game and still do better than experts. Who would've predicted that Peyton Hillis would amount to anything this year? (On that note, anybody else get flashbacks to Mike Alstott's glory days when watching this guy?)
It also gives you a purpose when following the NFL. Since I'm not from a city with a team I don't feel that real fan connection which to me is a big part of watching a game. This at least adds a bit of anticipation when checking the results.
So thanks Eeoulo for setting this thing up and hopefully we can make this an annual thing.

Thanks man. I will be there next season if you keep this league open
Good luck with nfl.com playoff challenge.

I have to agree about Hillis. The only indication I had that he might be any good was the fact that McDaniels got rid of him out of Denver haha! Hillis certainly is that Allstott type of player, the guy who reminds me even more of him is LeRon McClain (Ravens). He's a bowling ball of a runner, solid blocker, solid in coverage, and has capable hands.
You have an interesting perspective about the fan connection. I think that being removed from any single team fandom is actually a benefit in FFL to you since you wont make "homer" mistakes like I did this year lol. Do you get any coverage of games in he Netherlands?
My pleasure to get it going. I tried last year but not enough were interested. You can bet that I'll be setting one up again next year!

Excellent! We may have to make you and slacklar do your draft blindfolded as a handicap to give the rest of us a chance tho! I still can't put enough praise on you for what a quick study of the players and rosters you proved to be. WTG

This is the worst case of ass kissing that I've seen lately !
