:. NT Manager Game Analysis
Not the result I was expecting.
We were facing the weakest team in the group, according to the teams overall rating, so I thought we'd go with an offensive style to make sure we maximized our chances at scoring, specially because their goalies are not the best players in the squad.
Unfortunately, and although we dominated in terms of possession, shots and face-offs, their goalie had the game of his life, and managed to keep us from scoring.
This result makes things even harder, and looking at the remaining opponents overall ratings doesn't help either, but I will continue fighting for this team and making the choices I believe best suit the goal we initially set out for.
Head high, eyes forward and let's move on to Norway!

Norway, although seemingly weaker than us has a very strong shot and could do maximum damage with minimal chances. For that reason I decided to use a defensive style against them so that they would have even fewer chances .... but they didn't use a tactic that would maximize that potential, instead they decided to break up the game.
I hate to admit it, but I'm being outfoxed so far, fortunately we not only got the win, albeit with the loss of one point, we also managed to save some energy that will hopefully come in handy as we move to the more difficult games.

Thanks for pointing that out Peterko.

This was going to be a difficult opponent no matter how you looked at it.
Their values are higher than ours in all areas of the game so I took the only approach I felt comfortable with, which was to try and destroy their game and hopefully score a goal or two to win it.
But like peterko16 pointed out we will not win if we don't score and it seems things are not going to get any easier for us given the quality of our opponents
Head high, eyes forward and let's move on to Austria!
Note: I would really like to hear more Irish managers commenting on the forums and following the National Team, after all they are the ones that know the reality of managing a team in this small league, and the difficulties that come with that.

Unfortunately training is NOT in the hands of the Irish management.
That lies with each players individual club.
Making your comment redundant.

Does that mean I'm gonna have to offer a round of pints to the team for every goal they score? It worked today but it can become a very expensive campaign not mention they'll start seeing 2 pucks in no time
