If a left/right-footed player plays at a central area, has he any penalty, on any of the 3 possible positions there, L-M-R?

no. ist important just at wing.
It's not left/right-footed. It's just the preferred side on which he likes to play.
As for center, it does give the player a small penalty and the penalty also depends where in the center the player plays. If he plays close to his preferred side, the penalty is very small. If he place on the other side, the penalty is bigger, but not as big as if he played on the opposite wing.

like I said, it's not about legs and yes U player is the best for CM
yes, prefered side, not leg. but leg is much more simple

Really? Never experienced a difference in rating when a R/L-player was put on the left or right side of a central zone.
