This itself should tell us something here. Most important ones are +20 for you but lesser ones are +36 for him. Even with better exp he has +4 RAT more so i'd say you need to train more less important ones.

How must worse does a player perform if you play him as right-back rather then left-back if he is left-footed?

If you consider that this is right, would it then be better to put a inferior left-back as right-back.
He should not lose the same amount of "matchrating" as a better player would.

Would you like to have RD on LD position that makes 19 rather than one who makes 22 ?
Of course I would prefer 22. But I rather have a LD that have 19 than noone else. Suspensions is a pity
I think it would be better to have RD that makes 22 as LD than LD that makes 19 as LD. Seems reasonable.

I have 2 right defenders, thats "the thing". Therefor I wonder if I should use the 22 rating right defender as a Left defender or the 19 rating.

If you don't have time to investigate what number would your RD show as a LD, try to take Ivan's advice (use the worst presumption 10%), and then make final decision.
So, as Popeye says...if your RD is making better rating on the LD than your LD than use the RD.
It does not matter what is his best position if has better rating.
Ofcourse you can test the ratings in a friendly match.
Put your LD on LD in 1st half, and set up a substitution for him at half time. remove that LD out and put in that RD you wanted to use as LD.
And than you will be sure who does better rating.
If they do same rating use the LD.
