I just wanted to update this. I had no idea maxed triples cost 163,000 per day. I completely missed on Arena costs. Instead of 70M, it will now be more like 105M. Which means worst case scenario puts me around $0.30 profit each week:/

Ticket sales and Media deal are now ridiculously important.


Cory, if your players aren't flawed, then you did a much better job than I did I replaced my starters all the time in the beginning. Of course, that was when I had a good Sports Academy. I could buy a player every once in a while and the SA would fill any holes. I would get one or two instant starters each season. I miss those long ago days.

I'd be really interested in seeing your new media deal. From my experience (and nobody has ever provided evidence to counter it), the media deal always goes up by at least enough to cover stand maintenance.

A III level team with a near-maxed arena is just the kind of extreme case I've been looking for to see if that rule of thumb holds up.

WTH, one of my guys just got injured due to hypothermia!?! that is about as unlikely as I don't know what for a hockey player (unless plying outside, but last I checked the arena had a roof). What's next in injuries, a missed week due to ovulation?

He's got hyperthermia, not hypothermia - overheating, basically. Maybe it's just a mistranslation, and they meant to say fever (hyperthermia is caused by external forces whereas a fever is internal).

haha yeah you are right i misread it. although in a sport played on ice that is even more puzzling. a miss from fever or similar in translation makes more sense, or a more likely dehydration whcih can have similar symptoms and also lead to overheating when exhausting oneself...

Juridical actually made the All Star team

I seriously am considering offering to pay someone to try and figure out why my team either doesn't show up for games or just checks out in the third period. I'm kind of glad my new work schedule doesn't let me on here nearly as much, it's less frustrating. I am getting really sick of picking the "right" tactics, going harder on intensity, outshooting the crap out of someone, and still inexplicably losing. I'm not saying this is the case for all of my losses, but I've definitely lost a number that I "should have" won and I've lost a few worse than I should have lost them.

On the other side of that coin, I told you you'd get me next time, DA. Your goalie definitely earned that first star and his spot on the game day all-star team.

Honestly, I think sometimes there are just seasons like that. I won the soccer title in season 2 and then couldn't score a goal to save my life in season 3. I had to win a lot of games at the end just to avoid the promo/relegation round.

If you're desperate, make me your sitter. But I doubt anything is 'wrong'. You have the 12th best OTS, but 4 other teams are right behind you. So 15th isn't totally out of the question.

I checked out the Analysis on your team and I would say you don't use enough energy. 15 periods total above Low isn't going to get you anything.

Look at someone like Zilina United. He's played 2 periods below Normal all season. He's -7 OTS, but +17 points in the standings.

Meh, at the same time I anticipated being between 9th and 16th the whole season so I was conserving energy to try to avoid relegation and do well in the CanAm tournament. I got screwed in the tournament just like in most of the games I have my team try to win in the season. It's just basically me spinning my wheels wasting energy on a futile effort. I'm not saying I should have won all those I played on low, but there have been a few this season that I tried in where I should have won or at least had a less embarrassing game and it just didn't happen. You're probably right, it's probably just one of those seasons. I'm not going to go on a spending spree or anything in the market because of it as that's counterproductive to my long term plans. I think my problem is that I'm trying to make sense of something that just isn't going to make sense. I'm just going to try and let it go and call the season a wash and just assume I'm going to be relegated and try again next season.

You're planning to fail by saving energy for the relegation round. Go balls out to survive. If it doesn't work and you lose the relegation round, then you dominate III for a season and come back stronger. Going down a league is not a problem for a well managed team. In fact, it still has it's benefits even though they are trying to dissuade people from doing it on purpose. You can gain a lot of OTR and it allows you to get some younger players into the lineup.

Wranglers, I forgot to mention that I started a camp. Which means my good players are now in the starting lineup. You might be in for a slightly tougher match than you expected

When are you finally getting rid of all your old players? Trying to maximize profits by only selling 10 per season?

Yeah, I'm trying. I'd prfer to sell them as they reach 1000 OR. But I'm also tired of being tied to these guys.
