"Defensive: With defensive style of play, your players think defense first. This kind of tactic is useful when you play a stronger opponent or if your defensemen are better than your forwards. This style of play produces fewer shots for both teams and therefore also fewer goals."
- from game guide
Defensive tactic doesn't mean you don't want to win. It will increase your chances of winning, a) against a stronger appointment, b) if your defensive players are stronger than your offensive players, or c) if you choose it as the correct counter-tactic.

Yeah, I don't think he lost because of tactics. I think his goalie just fell apart at the end of the game. He outshot me by a ton, so it didn't reduce the number of shots overall (though my team was shackled for most of the game).
Alright. We finally have the team strengths for this season. Every time I tried to do this, some jerk would start a training camp=) This is a few days out of date. I've also included the team strengths from last season. That's only for the teams who were in II.1 of course. I got them from DA's post on 2/21, page 51.

Nice work. Hmm. I wonder what cause my OTS to jump so high.... (Probably tujague's favorite Brazilian goalie)
Dang, DA. Yesterday was a bit of a surprise. I thought it would be much closer than that. Didn't you hit on tactics as well? I'm not sure. I lost the wheel. I started JC just in case you tried something funny=)
I just sold a staff member for $1M. That's only the second time in my career. And it was a lecturer at that!

Yeah no idea what happened there. The wheels certainly fell off. Guess it was too much of a letdown after the NC cup win in footy. Oh well.
I've played everyone else very solidly up to this point, so yeah was a bit of a shock result, but we'll take it in stride.

Second place? Yeah, baby. How did that happen?
Boilermakers rebound with a big win over Northcutt, while the Purple Cows get slaughtered by the Hornets. That's an interesting result. Did shortkickr use the wrong line-up or something?

No he didn't. This is when you get sting by a hornet

Had my first 4* pull in anything the other day, a coach. Scouted his attribute qualities are 65/90. Not too shabby. Pulled absolute buns for players today however.
Why are players coming with CL 5/6? 15 years old and they already know a lot
Yeah pulling young players with CL 5/6 is always annoying. I have an 18yo with 4/6 already, which sucks, cause hes one of the best players I've ever pulled.
I have a question. You guy training shooting to goalies? In the guide says no effect on goalie, but I seem to realize that goalies with higher shooting are better. And I am playing Hattrick, where the keepers shooting ability helps them to detect where the player will shoot. Or is it just me? Thinking too much?
