I've spent a paltry $29M on players from the market...two of them are in my lineup. For the most part my team is home grown. My LW1 and RD4 were purchased, and a future LW is being trained to go in the lineup soon...that's it still on my roster.
total revenues to this point $1 384 389 236
I think the triple - decker was worth it because I got a much better TV deal this year than before and that's partially determined by the stadium capacity. I'm thinking of starting another one soon...though it's already too late to get one done for next season's offers.
been over 1/2 a season and so far only have 3 million revenue on the skybox and got a 5* offer so those might not be too worthwhile though.

@ hoax, I was thinking more in terms of the revenue being higher than the day to day expense. I'm trying to leave the 38 mill investment out for now because that surely will take a while to recoup.
@ Leggs: But I guess you build them only once and they cost just about 2.9 mill.
I saw I was the 4th guy in the USA to build a triple decker. The team leading the 2.3 league is building one now and is about 45 days away. I am 95 days away, so this season's offers won't take the new stand into consideration. It's cool though.

I have seven, but selling two this week. Still, starting next week the 5 left will be in lineup, although not top two lines anymore.
I'm going to the market for a stud LW or a stud LD, both are weak spots on my roster. Some teams need righties, I need lefties.
can't you replenish with youth players so you can get them exp at an early stage? I have inserted 3 youngsters in my 4th line last week, a C, RW and a LD. These are the only 3 academy players I want to keep though so I put them in. the rest of the youngsters are training only to get a little better and maybe fetch more money on the market in a season or two.
Good grief!
Total lifetime revenue: 296 382 241
Lifetime expenses on player acquisition: 1 881 500
I'm wondering if there are any I.1 teams who've spent less on player acquisition.

Player acq: 4.1 mill.
Staff acq: 1.8 mill (1.3 this year, bought this really high Q physio, 53 yrs old)

the physio I bought this year is the only significant staff I bought, ever.
I could, but the young up and comers won't be lineup ready until next season. I have the cash, and I have 2 starting positions that are less than stellar.
I've had up and comers in my 4th line all season, which is probably why I am lagging a bit as opposed to previous seasons.
I'm over 500M in total revenues, and my box gave me a 1 star offer, so it sucked this season.
