the effects are clear. it has a big impact. the math is not clear, however.
As an example of how clear the effect can be I can offer an experience I had and that you can try yourself. I made my custodians unassigned for a day and my maintenance went up 60k more than the staffs daily salary. To put that in perspective that's around an 8% of cost. Other staff I've decided not to carry like scouting for example, f* them.

saving about 4k a day more than I was with the other guy who was making 40k so actually about 75k per day worse off. he's 2 years younger and going to be building more soon so maybe he'll be worth more than his salary at some point soon...

But I do agree. They need to drop the salaries a bit. I've been saying it since beta that the staff salaries are unreasonably high.
Yeah, I have 7 staff members getting paid over 70k a day and 4 that are over 95k. But that is also because they are all really high in one stat and low in the other. If they are balanced they don't get paid as much. But its hard to keep the stats even when one quality is 95 and the other is 17.
I have one, with 138 OR getting 104k+ a day. He is unbalanced though. Just seems like a ton of my budget goes to these slackers. Just was wondering if that money was better spent elsewhere........just too lazy to put the number on paper. Oh well.
Well, let me tell you why staff salaries are way too much. So far this season I have paid all players 2.7 mill. Stall so far is at 30.4 mill. Ridiculous and unbalanced.
Yup. Since I punted on the National Cup, leaves me only one thing to play for. Looks like I needed it too.
