Only downside is that he is 18 years old.
We are in the group 2 of the World Cup Qualifications. Unlike last season, this group is not very strong and no longer underdogs to qualify to playoffs.
USA is the 3rd power. Iran is once again in our group. Turkey is weaker than Iran.
Portugal and Czech are the main power
current Strength in the world cup
42 Portugal
43 Czech
37 USA
32 Turkey
33 Iran
USA currently has 14 400+ OR players
Turkey has 3, Iran has 3
Portugal has 19 and Czech has 26
Unlike past season when we were in a too strong group, this season we should qualify to playoffs and anything less than that would be a failure given the lack of quality of Iran and Turkey.

Granted OR alone does not mean everything, it is a good indicator specially when we look at the strength.
The first friendly of the season Lanky was the head coach and he got hos first national win
well done Lanky
Mallory was disappointing today. He scored only one of his 6 shots and had 2 turnovers
Hall is coming along pretty well. He joined the team late season and is already ready to contribute
Tubbs and Wells continue to be the team's stars while Schneider was a scoring machine and having another opportunity as 7m shooter. Last season he was horrible on his only chance.

Is Hall really a better option at OLB than my Thomas Hyde? Younger and better CL maybe. But I'd bet Hyde's performance on the court right now is better, especially considering Hall's FIP and Shot ratings.
^ And I'm not even suggesting Hyde should be next in line. Just saying I'd be surprised if we don't have a better option at that position, unless there is some meta-strategy we're employing that I'm ignorant of.
Hey thanks!
Yeah, it was a pretty even matchup going into it (team rating 45 vs. team rating 45), and I'm pretty happy with how the game turned out.
Tactics changed at half time exactly how I would've wanted, the better goalie played more time, we had only 2 less fast break goals than the opponent (despite them playing on fast breaks and us not), and we really did well with mitigating turnovers (perhaps one of the most important factors in every game).
We had a bunch of penalties in the second half that allowed them to creep back into striking distance, but were able to hold them off for the win.
Wells and Mallory definitely could've done a little bit better on offense, though Wells is somewhat forgiven because of his massive 5 assists.
In addition to the win, we were able to get Kevin Hall and Don Womack (two of the better U.S. 16 year old players) some good game time (30 mins each) to start building some chemistry for them.
So yeah, the game looked pretty good all around.

There is some meta-strategy. Womack and Hall split time at left back in today's game because it was a friendly and it was a good opportunity to get them both some chemistry.
With that said, our official matches will likely look a little bit different from what we saw today.

Hyde is a great player but I personally cant see him as NT player due to his CL already at 4/6 at only age 17. I'd much rather call a player like Mitch Hilton from Mojo as his EQ is fantastic.
Hall will be a defensive player, unless marsrover decides to force him into offensive.
So i wouldn't really compare Hyde with Hall ...

Well I think my Charlie Dukarski should be in the NT, becuase he is one of the 400+ players
400+ only does not mean all.
I look at CL, Effective Rate and Effective Quality
Charlie does have very good quality and would be in the list of suggested players.
However, I see him like Clinton .. and Clinton only played a friendly... Or could "compare" with Andrew McCauley who also only played once. and McCauley has significant better Effective Quality than Charlie.
Mallory and Schneider are current starters so whoever winger that "should" be in the NT wont have much playing time, unless either are injured or during friendlies times in camp.
Also Little north has great potential at taking over Mallory's position.
Biggest change this season will likely be at back position.
Even at goalie. Pascalle already proved he is far ahead other youngsters base on his current rate and others. And with only Lloyd having better EQ than him (much better btw), it shouldn't change his position this season as 2nd goalie as his manager can train as fast, or faster, than any other.

For all of those who voted for me, thanks for the support.
I am preparing a list of players to post here. I have already sorted the goalies and pivots. tomorrow i should do the wings and backs.
Due to Tujage ignoring training a while ago, I dropped Hugh Draper. He (or some other pivot) may be added in the future. Draper had only 2% chemistry.
More players (wingers or backs) with 10% or lower chemistry may be cut as i prepare the list.
