Subject: U17 national team

Normally, my goal is to get as many points as practical, to stay in the top 48 for the challenge cup. But we have such a good head start this season (31st place), that I want to aim directly for the world cup.

That means saving energy, building chemistry, and finding an ideal line-up for this squad. I am not as confident in qualifying as I would've liked, but we have a better chance at it than we have for a while... (I was pretty happy with last season's start!)

Hey, if Iceland can do it IRL, with their tiny population, so can we!

That is a good long-term strategy! Play the 15 & 16 yr olds heavily in friendlies, and then have a 100% chemistry team the 3rd season. I am seriously considering this.

But it takes a season to set up (as Crico mentioned, you are taking needed chemistry away from current starters). Also, we tend to get a lot of our ranking points from friendlies. If our players are too weak there, then we might not get enough.

.. there is as many great ways as ppl could find.. the decision is only yours!

On the other hand, u have to choose whether u like to go short or long term and then use players depends on that choice.

crico is right that friendliness doesn't consume much of energy, besides u could use way more substitutes..

Hmm... lost 2-0 to Denmark. While I was orginally hoping for better, I did learn something new!

Day-to-day (injured players) on the bench still play!

I had two injuries this week, both day-to-day: Brett Fulton and Joseph Eadie .

Fulton, a starter, didn't play at all, and was replaced by his substitute on the bench (as expected). In fact, he isn't even on the list of players for the match. Again, this is expected. Eadie, on the other hand, was a bench player, who was scheduled to replace another at halftime. Even though Eadie was still a day-to-day player, the substitution was successful!

I'm not sure if it is a bug or a feature. In this case, Denmark immediately scored after the weakened player showed up. But it's a good tip to know if you really want/need a day-to-day player in the match (just have them replace another player after 5min)!

Yay! A 2-0 win against Morocco. I was a bit concerned, as Morocco seem to play all matches on very high. However, our Aussie boys pulled through.

Sweet is also very decent player, I found him over 85% real Q and he is 6/6 on the top - we will have a quality keeper and that is great!

Looks like we've lost Logan Power , Noah Showler , and Joseph Voss to low facility teams...

Last season we had better luck with top teams buying our sales. But this season the smaller teams seem to have snatched them up!

I mentioned that eventually, I will sell Voss and as I have way better D's it was just about time.
Besides, he is off the U17 soon in anyway..
