Oceania |
I think, the moving to Oceania didn't help you... It's sure.
And there are very few teams in the league.

If we'd stayed Australia, we would have had fewer players than we do now.
I suspect Oceania will be merged into Asia shortly.

To be honest, it wouldn't be too bad of an idea... I think it is quite annoying that any team, such as mine, has to wait at least maybe ten seasons (three years) to have a fighting chance for the top title. It's like trying to tackle one huge goal without any steps in between.
My media sponsorship is $50milion down too, and a 5-star... $100million less next season!
Ouch!
Even though I got a higher ranking this season, my 5 star general sponsorship deal is 10 million less than my two star deal last season!

Mine went up by a lil bit, even after a tough season.
Thanks for the heads up!
With that info, it looks like it is probably due to losing so many good teams (esp. Knights). This would make the average strength of the league go down for Aussies, but up for Oceania.
I know different leagues at the same league level (such as II.1 & II.2) have different amounts of prize money depending on how good the teams are. They probably also get different sponsorship offers.
It probably has something to do with OTR or team strength. Prize money seems to correlate well with average OTR and league level. But the Knights wouldn't have reduced the average OTR so dramatically in one season. Maybe team strength? As our current teams improve, sponsorships should go up from here...

From the guide
General sponsors: "The amount of money you get from the general sponsor is influenced mainly by: the final ranking in the recently ended season, the overall team rating and the level of the human resources and economic department. The first offers arrive on the last Thursday of the season which is day 109 of the season. The sponsors also take into account whether your team was promoted or relegated. If your team was promoted to a higher league, you can expect better offers. On the other hand if it was relegated, the offers will be worse. Sponsors pay special attention to how your team approaches promotion or relegation matches. If they find out that your team plays these matches with significantly weakened lineup, it will reflect on their offers at the end of the season."

It doesn't say anything about the average OTR or the number of leagues a country has but something like that does seem to play a part.
There was a Swedish guy who complained relentlessly about the fact that their sponsorship levels dropped dramatically when they lost their fourth tier of leagues. I don't ever remember seeing an official response to his accusations. I note BF has asked the question about Oceania sponsorships so we'll see if he ever gets a reply.

Well apparently no-one even got them... The draft results show that the highest was B (at least I got 3 of them).
