I am pleased to announce that this week's manager will be the one, the only, mikpj . mikpj has been an active participant in PPM since 2007. His team, [hockey_team=12688] is arguably the most successful Canadian team in the game. He also has a goalie that is unarguably the most despised Canadian player in the game. Welcome aboard mik, we look forward to your colourful insight.
Talking about that, it might be none of my business
, but I was having a look at Noah Tierney . Out of curiosity, wouldn't he have been even better as a defender? His shooting and aggressiveness higher qualities are wasted as a goalie...

He was likely pulled with high goal rating. And he's worth much much more and has much more of an influence on a team as a goalie.
OK, but a goalie requires 3 atties while a def requires 5. So it's easier to get a solid goalie vs. a def. When a player has good Q in all 5, especially SHO and AGR, not used by goalie, he might better be a def instead of a goalie...
That is true. What would you have done if you pulled a 100 prime goalie with all the Qs for all positions and you were in dire need of a goalie?
some managers have such damn good problems I'd like so much to have

I have a problem like that. Meet Channing MacQueen:
Def Off Sho Pas Tec Agr
72 (85) 34 (83) 52 (84) 72 (92) 51 (74) 36 (60)
RD or C? You'll notice that my training has been indecisive so far.

imo, he'll either be a really good pk centre or a pp defense.. if i were you, i'd pick the position that you're weak at and go with that (:
2 months ago I would have trained him as a center all the way, but now that he's 16, it starts to be late to change his training. You might want to stick with defense now. Otherwise he could as well never break your line up...
His Offence will train up faster than his Agr though. Since the quality is considerably higher. But I agree with Salty. What are you more hard pressed for?
I'd make him a center, because you need more aggr with your defs. My 2 cents.
Thanks for the input guys.
@alexfrantz - I haven't been training him as a D - the 72 there is close to where he started. I popped it up only a little bit so that he could get some XP in friendlies and not be brutal. I've trained shot, pass, and tech almost exclusively.
@Salty & Aowyr - I probably need a RD more, but I haven't been able to commit (maybe my ex was right about me - ha!) because diMeola is right that he'll train better as a C.
I'll keep y'all posted.
