I thought it was stated players would be able to play in both. It's why they have the games being played at a later time then regular games.

Of all our national team players participating in world championship only the 1st goalie has jumped a level of experience in 3 matches. Is this normal or could there be a bug involved?

I think it is a bug. My national team player did not
change his experience, also he played all 4 matches.
