Subject: Team strength.

Team strength counts nothing. I have one of the best teams in my league and loss nearly every game. I find no reason for losing all games, maybe because I am not a supporter....
I would appriciate if someone can give me some tips! Its not a pleasure anymore!

It certainly has nothing to do with the pro pack Some tips?

1. Check your tec/agg levels. For the defenders, too!
2. Reconsider your choice of tactics & game importance.
3. Work on your shooting
4. And penalty killing

I have same problem I have had whole season lots of small defeats (by 1 or 2 goals). My scoring sucks big time, but I believe that my shooting is not that bad. At least if I compare my team to others in my league. Usually I generate more shots that my opponents.

If you have, give me some tips also

This game is big disappointment and match engine should be written again and from scratch...
At the beggining I thought that I am simply a bad manager (even if other managment games shows that I am not so bad), but latley I have come to conclusion that PPM's match engine is really poor!!
Maybe someone from development team or someone who understands this game better could prove me wrong!?! If yes then explain me how in the blue hell losing team managed to take 26 shots on goal with such a big class difference while winning team managed only 32 shots on goal - the same thing could be said about face-offs...

From my point of view it's NOT normal and I really hope that someone could show me strong arguments why should such things happen!!

I'm not sure if u have ever seen a real hockey game. Only the shots that actually hit the goalie or go in behind him counts as shots on goal. Shots that hit the crossbar or a blocking player does not count.
Let's say the losing team players played a great defence and sacrifized their bodies to protect their net.

Also if they managed to get the puck fast enough after they had blocked the puck it would cause alot of odd man rushes and breakaways and that might be why they managed 26 SOG

To me it seems like the number of face-off wins/looses are just random.
It doesn't really seem to matter if your centers have 60+ in technique and you meet a team with 10-15 in offensive team-strenght (no way all those not so strong teams have centers with even close to what my centers got in technique), the team with really bad centers do win the face-offs as often as the team with good ones..

In other words I don't think the technique attribute helps much to win the face-offs.

But maybe the better technique-skilled centers you got, the better scoring-chances they create at the times they are winning face-offs. Impossible to know..

My team have good strengh but still my team play better than team strengh tell us. Last season I play good match with ossian team.

You have only lost one game all season long. It doesn't matter how great a team is, they all lose a few games here and there. Wait until you miss the playoffs before you want to destroy the match engine.

I don't understand why I keep losing all the season. E.g.: hockey.powerplaymanager.c... Compared to my teams players Overal Ratings and oppents, my team is much better but everytime I get very low Team Strengh: Goaltending 20, Defence 27, Offence 26, Shooting 23, Total 24. How on earth this Team Strengh is calculated ? Almost all my players who are playing have more than 200 points in defence/offence/goaltending...

Yes, but do they have anything in their secondary attributes?

ie.

Center needs Offense - Passing - Technique
Wing needs offense - technique - aggression

etc

Having just high primary attributes is a sure fire way to lose game in game out.

In fact they don't (about 30-60 points combined in secondary), but in that case it's strange to see how secondarys affect the game.

Why so strange? The guide clearly explains that each position has a primary and 2 secondary "key" attributes.

Also, you have been playing on high importance which drains your players seasonal energy. This will drastically lower the overall team strength rating.
