I agree that the draft is a big project to implement and the PPM staff deserve credit for it working at all, but I wonder if still more youth changes need to happen.
Already, I have the first overall pick, and if he isn't 350 OV with an average quality of 90 in the relevant categories, I can't keep him, because I would have to sell off one of my other prospects that I've been training for years.
Players like that end up on the market with no contracts all the time, so the only reason a team without a fully developed youth academy would ever keep one of their own players in stead of buying someone else's cast-offs is sentimental reasons.
I would love to see upper echelon teams get a youth academy where our U20 players could compete. Give me a hard 25 man cap on the senior team and a hard 25 man cap on the youth team with both squads getting full access to training.

There is talk of *maybe* implementing varying ages and experience for players who come from the draft/academy in the future. So instead of 15 350 OR you could get an 18 800 OR with 25 exp (just as an example, don't take my numbers as fact!).
There were problems, but for a big task, no matter.
But there is one huge issue in draft: the impossibility for no-PRO users to modify their list.
I'm a PRO user. I intend to stay PRO for a while. I'm not asking because I'm jealous.
But we can't ask no-PRO to be connected during few minutes to a big hour during Saturday night. Even if it's only beginning of Saturday fever
I know that was already discussed, just to push a bit in one direction for you to take decision
Nice work, continue! ^^

There were some good comments/suggestions on this in Cannucks PPM magazine article about the draft.
I think a limited ordering of the list for non-PRO would be fair, maybe something like first 10 picks only. It seems harsh to ask some Other World managers to wake up at 3 AM or pay what may be quite a lot of money with regards to their local economy.
I'm torn. One one hand, yes, a little less strict would be nice for the non-ProPack users. However, let's all remember, PPM is a game that needs funding to stay alive. Fact is, ProPacks keep the game afloat and there are not many games where you can have all the on-ice advantage as a paying player when playing for free. So, it is harsh for the Other World nations especially. But, on the whole, I don't think it is unreasonable the way it is setup considering non-ProPack players play for free while others pay so all can play.
Well, it's important to remember that non-PRO managers aren't just freeloading, they're creating value for all other players by being here and making PRO managers more likely to (keep) spend(ing) money as well as creating a bigger pool of potential future PRO managers. Gabe Newell talks about this concept here (www.penny-arcade.com/repo... ) and explains why making TF2 free-to-play made them so much money.
It's a fine line to walk, no doubt, but frustrating non-PRO managers to the point they quit the game is good for nobody.

I don't think it is something to frustrate someone to the point of quitting. I didn't use any of the sort functionality and organized my list in excel on my own. If I didn't have Pro I'd just use CTRL+F whenever my pick was up based on names in my Excel sheet. It is a very fine line, and one I think they've walked quite well so far.
When I started this game you could only watch your games (ProPack) or your home games (NonPro) during live broadcast. That was changed and I anticipate more changes will come in time, they often do.

I think you can get a 7 day pro pack for around $5 bucks for the draft week.
only if you use extra scouting and instant scouting on the same player
today i have only possibility - extra scouting, no instant. i try several times - always takes both..
i think, something is wrong with this, because if i havent money in my account, PPM is no chances to get my credits even if i want it

I had the same problem. I spend over 15m and a lot of credits.
today is the draft and the only way to scout today is instant scouting. You have used up all your free scouting spots, that's why it's asking money. click the down arrow next to scouting to see.
I think Herbs is saying that when he does select instant scouting, it's taking BOTH credits and in-game money instead of just one or the other.
