the height think is a non-factor to me.
they ruined it by penalizing players for being "too tall" to play different positions.
because if q's don't support a guy being a SG instead of a PG, then height doesn't matter at all. You won't want him any more.
So basically, as far as I'm concerned, it just makes players that would otherwise be stars, worthless.

but that is my point... less chances to have super teams on D1 winning it all like for example in hockey
can u imagine those hockey teams having to dump their vets to get more suitable ones?
they may become useless for those teams but very valuable for new teams

Its an example of creating a new problem for managers to tackle and/or deal with.
I guess I just prefer new features to challenge me and make the game more interesting. The height factor seems like it'll be annoying and just a frustration.
Dont get me wrong... having height minimums for positions makes sense. But if I have a guy with great shooting guard Qs, and he's grown into a 6'-9" beast, that should make him a more proficient shooting guard, not less.

players should gain height slow and there would have time to adjust.
i see it as a big challenge
I just think their max recommended PG should be higher and i think SF is somewhat lost in between sg and pf.
SF will probable be the most versatile players

The one thing I like is how you have to actually adjust your training to your style of play. I just wish it was .20 growth each league/playoff and .05 for friendly. Really make it hard to master two attacks and defence. hopefully this is something they expand for the next sport Baseball
I am with you Lanky on not caring too much about basketball so that is why I started in IV.1 and will see if it grows. Worst case I will go through the motions and build a good I.1 / II.1 team with full facilities and supply to the NT just like you.

Yep. I agree completely with that second paragraph. As long as I'm engaged in at least 1 of the sports, I'll keep a team in the others. I see no reason not to, when I'm on the site anyways.
I just noticed something that kind of annoys me about basketball though.
I just played a league game against a guy that had 0 substitutions set.
He had 2 starting players foul out of the game, and the PPM system automatically threw 2 other players in for them.
NOW I'M SORRY, BUT IF THE SYSTEM INCLUDES "FORFEITS," THEN USE THEM!! As far as I'm concerned, not setting substitutes is akin to coming to the game with 5 players (ie having no one sitting next to the coach on the bench).
If one (or more) of the players foul out, and the team no longer has enough players to play, it should be a forfeit (0 points in the standings).
PPM saving your ass and throwing in subs for you is unacceptable.
Either get rid of forfeits altogether and change the points structure in the standings (a loss = 0 points), or start enforcing what should be a forfeit.

just take a look at my hockey 15-17 yo and you will know .. their training ratio is horrible as i dont pay attention to that team.
that is the reason ...

ohhh so now i know how Vlad "fixed" the problem. I think it is a horrible solution. I suggested him to go play by the rules: give the team a couple of FT every time he fouls.
at NBA the rule is that the first foul he makes the opponent gets a FT, then after that any player that makes a foul will result on FT.
in FIBA the coach gets a technical. And technical results on 2 fts. (granted i dont know if coach technical does, but if it doesn't ppm could just "pretend" it does.
very easy solution to the problem but he rather just give a horrible randon player. so now, what if the teams dont have enough players????

LOL. I use my propack in handball to set reminders for the other sports.
I have a reminder set for every other saturday to manage my training for my other teams.
I copy/past the practice screen into a premade excel spreadsheet.
The sheet automatically extracts values of qualities, calculates how I want to train (based on my set criteria), and spits out which stat is most in need of training.
I've done that in hockey for a while and finally got around to setting up the sheet for soccer now.
Basketball will be easy peezy since the roster sizes will be so small.

I don't really understand what you're saying, but I HATE that the standings in basketball are so stupid.
Wins really only net you 1 point advantage over teams that lose? That's crap.
If they're going to have forfeits in the system, they should freaking use them. Otherwise, make wins worth 2 points and losses worth 0.
Seriously basketball is really annoying me. More and more.

A player who fouls out does not need to leave the floor.
coachs have x seconds to replace. If they dont then:
1. Nba: first time he fouls it is giving a technical foul: so.. 1 ft
After that whenever any player in the fouls while he is in the floor a technical is given
2. Fiba: when player does not leave the floor then when he fouls then a technical foul is given to the coach. I believe that means 2 ft.

well.. but takes time to setup stuff. i feel that if i am not playing it doesnt matter how bad it looks the ratio
well not until recently when i started to get some potential nt player .. well.. not quiet but worth consideration. if i decide not to drop hockey then i will have to start training correctly

Lanky, I just took a look at your league game RE: Subs.
Your opponent DID dress a full team, they just did not set up Substitutions (who would sub for whom.) So when a player fouls out, the coach still has players to choose from, but of course its probably not going to be the proper player for the position.
In the case of forfeits, I believe it only occurs when there aren't enough players dressed. If that were the case for your game, you would only see 5 players under your opponents roster instead of the full bench that you do see.
