when offers are around 400M per season - it is around 70M... it is huge money for luck do decide... even if it is 3 stars - it is still around 35M
Difficult to say. You could have had a high 1* offer yesterday, and a low 2* offer today.
While I'm still fighting uphill battles to bring light into the dark mysterium of PPMs' economics, match dynamics and the meaning of "luck", the much-maligned game engine left no room for interpretation when it took on the seasonal CL drop calculations in the early morning. Oh how transparent it worked for me today. The 10 most talented players all dropped in CL with only two exceptions. The two happy men, each of them natural at center position, by a fortunate coincidence are both injured. While I admit of having cursed the GE when those injuries occured, they've never felt so valuable as they might have saved the two players from an even bitterer fate of loosing precious CL points. ^^
Don't get me wrong, this is not meant to blame anything. I've had lots of luck with CL drops in the past and the next CL calculations could go well again, you never know.
These past days I've read lots of comments where people expressed their disappointment how the ATW and sponorship system works and some people were shocked to read about the high-end sponsorship deals handed out to PPMs most successfull teams. I prefer the slower, steadier progress. I like the thought of having to operate with what resources are available. My new general sponsorship deal of 75 millions ppm-dollars in total may not appear noteworthy to many managers but I'm still looking forward to the slightly higher weekly payments compared to last season and making "important" decisions where to invest all the money.
Now this is a Q&A thread so my question is: Why do you play the game or what do you like most about it? Is it the weekly chance to pull a franchise player? Or maybe you like to see the steady development of your team? What are your short term and long term goals?

I play so i can read all your entertaining posts
But, to answer the Q...i play because it's fun. A daily break from life to play with tactics, manage training and enjoy the teams growth.
People get all upset about sponsorship deals... but the fact is, successful teams in high-end leagues always get better sponsorship. Manchester United will always get better sponsorship than someone like Burnley. That's life, and PPM is no different. It sucks for those who get lower amounts, but they COULD get higher if they worked hard for promotion and work their way up. It's not impossible, just a challenge. Personally i love embracing the challenge.
I got very lucky with CL drops this season, only a few players dropped, so nothing "too" bad.

you got the point. succesfull teams in succesfull leagues... do you realy think Brazilian and Lithuanian leagues are successful? in these leagues ar max 3-4 strong teams who gain advantage becouse noone can beat them at local arena and earns too much otr gaining incredible sponsorship deals. this need to be changed and reguled...
ohh, add to m previous post new promote system are awfull. i won NC title last season, this season i would be seeded around top20 but according to "great" new system without loosing otr when you promote, now i will be seeded in 57 place or even lower. whats reason to play in I league and get same sponsorship as II league teams? and even more whats reason to play in Slovaki, Chech or Latvia leagues? instead join Lithuania, Ireland and develop your team in more speed that you could do in countries with more managers. all in all theeagle suggestion in suggestion thread makes sense becouse playing in lower divison and get promoted gives more than wining higher division.
How the heck does my top line center, who picked up 9 points in game 1 of the season not get on the team of the day?
Actually, that applies to a number of my players... all of whom had killer HUGE scoreline days.
WTF?

I think it's always been the case that if you far outclass your opponents, even great results will get trumped by great performances in closer games.
But, it's just all-star team after all

Because it looks like you are tanking in your league. You played against team which team strength is around bot one...
At first glance, yes... except he does have a lot of strong players, they were just not playing for some reason. So my team should be punished for the other manager opting to play a weak team? That's insane.
You are not punished, just not rewarded.
It's half glass empty/full thing

The glass is half pissed off right now. But... does give us an idea of how we can stop other teams from getting team of the day honors. LOL
