Congrats on the win against one of the stronger teams in your group!

I would have liked to have known if he was resting his guys beforehand so u could rest mine. But a win is a win for the less skilled USA squad.

In a important game the Untied States beat Brazil 2-0. PP goal from Leon Coleman and a even strength goal from Zachary Mohr on 40 shots won the game. Brazil played Offensive tactic which they always used and was easy to counter. While I liked the win I wish we could have scored more on 40 shots and on 4 powerplay but I will take the win and hope the bounces come to us next time. The next game vs Slovenia will be tough due to the talent of the Slovenian players. However the boys will give it their all and I will try to outsmart their manager. The World Championships are off to a good start for all USA teams. Let's keep it that way.

In a disappointing lost the Untied States gave up 4 goals to the Slovenian with only Kent Yost scoring a nothing goal in the 3rd period to make it a 4-1 lost. I was able to make the tactics our advantage however having not used Offensive that much the team was unable to take control Only after the USA was able to switch to the more used Breaking Up The Play were we able to gain puck possession. Tomorrow the USA will play Denmark the host of the world Championships. Right now both teams are 2nd and 3rd and the winner will have a better chance of moving past the qualification round.

Every team has an identity that they rally around. This identity is what shapes teams and even sometimes nations and make teams speical. A perfect xxample is the Soviet Russian hockey teams of the 70s and 80s and how no matter the turnover of players the discipline allowed to the team to maintain a their strong system of play. For the USA team we are a defense and goaltender first team. Our teams top 4 d men are the best of the best and are unrivaled in terms of shut down ability and skill. Our goalies 1 and 2 can both play at a high level allowing either to step into the game in a moments notice. Our Offense while good and can score most of the time will get timely goals and not the truckload you always hope for. We will be in tight defensive games trying to score when we need to then build a wall around our net
This is the USA strength and now we will start playing towards it.

I will not comment on the last two games but just say that I hope to win the next game. its win or go home.

I will also say it people desire it I would step down should we relegate to Division II.

In the last two days the Untied States lost to Denmark and Switzerland with the Switzerland game going to OT. With everything on the line the USA beat Portugal 3-1 and thanks to Switzerland losing to Denmark the USA will move on to the qaurtherfianls. Goals by Will Rupp Clint Connelly and Roger Baker made all the difference. I did have to use a lot of energy to advance to the next round so I doubt we have anything left in the tank. Due to overpaying Kevin Clinton our starting goalie I will be force to use backup Mack. We will pay group 1 winner Romania in the first round of qaurtherfinals.

Good luck against Romania! It looks like you would have to play the winner of Croatia and Brazil in the semifinals, if you win. I've seen a lot of upsets in the past in the World Championships, so it's possible you win 2 games.

The U18 team is done for the season. The U20 needs to win by 2 goals tomorrow.

In a major upset for the ages the Untied States defeated Romania 3-0 to advance to the semifinals of the world championships. The shots were 39-21 Romania. Joakuin Fellows, George Warren, and Rodger Baker scored the goals. Let us make no mistake about it Mack Gaudreau stole the game for the USA shutting down Romania.

Awesome win.

The USA will face off vs Brazil tomorrow who will not be holding back like they did during the first game. We shall see if we can beat them.

As a side note Only Group B teams advanced to the next round seeing how all Group A teams were beaten in action. It appears that group B was the tougher challenge. I suspect the winner of Slovenia-Denmark should be the winner of the world championship(I am not discounting Brazil or even the USA team should we get past Brazil). Those two teams are by far the best teams in the world championship on talent alone.
