Asunto: US National Team

The USA lost to Brazil 4-2 in the semis of the world championships. Goals scored by Michael Robertson and Joseph Yong were not enough to win the game. The USA had the lead 2-1 going into the 3rd when Brazil scored two goals only 4 minutes apart. The USA took 7 penalties and while Brazil did not score spending 14 minutes on the PK is not a winning formula. Once again Mack Gaudreau did all he could to stop the puck but our defense and offense wasted his great performance. I am highly disappointed because this very well was the best chance the USA had to advance to the Top Division in sometime.

I did a quick number count and we took 30 penalties over the course of 7 games which means the team took 4.3* penalties per game. The USA based on its team makeup cannot take penalties and afford to be undisciplined. In tight scoring games the USA needs to stop shooting itself in the foot. Tomorrow I will do a final roundup of the World Championships and what to improve for next season.

Also good luck to all the teams drafting players today. I got the number 1 overall pick in my draft and I have two A players just waiting to join my team.

The USA lost the third place game to Slovenia 4-0. The boys just did not have the gas to be able to win this game. While I am disappointed we have gotten farther this World Championships then in past ones. Not to mention the potential superstar players that the USA is about to produce is going to make this next season a fun one for me. We got past the quarterfinals in Division I for the first time since season 11(this is a really depressing stat). This finish of 4th is also our best finish since that same season 11.

Next season depending on who we play I will need help from mangers to scout out opponents. Anyone who would like to volunteer please comment in this forum.

okay we need to see who we get when teams are relegated/promoted. One of those teams we could play happens to be Canada and I want a little bit of payback.

The Following List of Players are the names of guys being dropped from the National Team. They Either are being dropped due to CL/Age or were picked up to be saved from dead teams but do not offer enough skill to remain on the team.

Reid Chaffin, Joseph Jean, and Jesus Hogan are older players who skill level has fallen below depth level and as a result did not play many games in the last world championships. I would like to thank the three of them for their service to the national team and success in the twilight of their careers.

the other players are all young guys but whose skill level is not yet at the level of the national team. At 22-24 years of age they are not yet ready for the senior team however I am sure we will see them again in the future. This results in a drop to 3 Goalies, 14 defensemen, 14 Wingers, and 9 centers. Anyone I Dropped can be readded later on in the season. For now I need to clear space so I can add new players.

I also forget to add Center Christopher Powell and Wingers Jess Zimmerman to the list.

Now then here is the player addition list I need. If anyone can find these player types shoot me a PM

Goalie: I am looking for young goalies age 25-27 with a Goalie stat of 1000 a CL of at least 3/6 and decent secondary.

Defensemen: Age 25-27 with a Def stat of 750 with a CL of 3/6 decent secondary.

Winger: Large depth of wingers already on team so not a position of need. However any winger with a OFF of 800 would be nice

Center: Decent depth player with 800 OFF and decent secondary stats.
