I'll look through my scouting history when I have a chance and send suggestions, though I also have to start organizing the scouting information for the U18 hockey team and plan to help out ninorider who is starting with the senior basketball team.

If any of the Bombsville Atomics interest you, you'll want to add them TODAY before 5:30 p.m. EST. Most of their good players are still in the U20 range, though you might want to take a look at Newcomb (a very strong 5/6 defenseman), Wahl (a good center - I think he wasn't trained right to be added to the youth teams, but he's fine now), Copeland (a decent goalie but with 3/6 CL at 22). Newcomb is the only one I'd especially recommend, though even he is questionable.

*Gus Wahl is a right wing

Vernon Turner could be a solid winger if you need depth

Dwight Kreger has potential at center, but I'm not in love with his ratios

Richard Jacob is a good defensive defenseman, though his EXP is a bit low

Major Baron is a good defensive defenseman with the Qs to become offensive if the manager can be convinced. great CL and Qs overall and still young; only rub is the low EXP. I'd add now to build up chemistry personally. I'd be surprised if he doesn't earn a spot on the roster down the road.

Ty Shorter has potential at wing. his TEC Q hurts, but everything else is nothing but upside, and comparatively he has decent EXP for his age

Sanford Scruggs is the only goalie I even have on the radar. you may want to see if Cap has anyone closer to being able to compete in his list, because Scruggs is about 3 seasons off from earning even the third string spot

I'm not going through my scouting history just yet, but I quickly went through the statistics history for goalies. A handful of past U18 goalies are on dead teams.

Willard Butler might have been what you were looking for, but he's gone. I'm pretty sure he dropped to 3/6 in a previous season. He had over 100 experience.

After eliminating young players and dead players, Amos Hickey is the only one that satisfies the requirements.

Sanford Scruggs looks like the best one over 20 in the long run, though Lee Maurer is on pace to be as good as him and might have better CL. Percy Cosby is basically on the same track but another year back. Bradley Kearney or Matt Dowell from this season's U18 team could be better than all of them if they aren't unlucky with CL in the long run.

Eugene Gillespie is another option, though Hickey's better.

I added Newcomb to save him. The others are either too young or to far ahead to be saved for my tastes. I need my roster spots so I can add players.

Vernon Turner is at the same level of some of my bottom six wingers so he is on the team. I agree on Dwight Kreger and Ty Shorter. They need a season of training before I can add them to the team. Let's see what happens next season.

I will take low EXP for players so I added Richard Jacob and Major Baron. The thing with my D is the 14 d men I have on the roster are all still very good. Its just they are getting older so I need the young guns in there. But even with the low EXP he may be able to get a starting spot in the world championships depending on his training.

Sanford Scruggs is not going to star. I just need a young goalie in the pipeline.

Oh If you look at the ranking of countries thanks to one of the highest finishes in team history the USA Senior team is ranked 20th this season passing Romania. We are not many points off of 19th. Its time to climb the ranks.

I most recently calculated that experience adds a multiplier of (1+.001*exp) for each attribute. I had 2 players with exactly the same attributes and chemistry but significantly different experience. I switched them around and played a few challenges. Finally, I calculated the effect of experienced based on the change in the value of defense from the challenges.

>750 defense/balanced training/decent experience/good as a short term depth player if necessary/probably retired due to bad CL

Mikey Carpenter :
>750 defense/26/low CL/decent experience/secondary needs a little work/flawed but worth consideration

Sean Ulintz :

>750 defense/26/3 CL/balanced training/okay experience/a good depth option that is still relatively young with okay CL

Dwayne Parks :
almost at 750 defense/decent experience/balanced training/24/3 CL

Earl Tacey :
a season or so away/low experience/more or less balanced training/24/4 CL

Marshall Rodriquez :
a season away/training might need a little work but could be fixed in under a season/very low experience/23/3 CL bad for 23

Centers:
Dre Thibodeau :
>840 offense/balanced training/good experience/good as short term depth player if necessary/probably retired due to bad CL

Leroy Brackett :
>800 off/good experience/28/2 CL is okay at 28/balanced training/decent depth player

Edwin Curry :
almost 800 offense/close to balanced training/good experience/27/3 CL/might last a little longer than the above two as depth center

Glenn Parker :
maybe a season away from 800 offense/balance training/experience a little low/26/3 CL

Dwight Kreger :
a promising center/might be good enough in a season or so if his CL holds/good shooting for a center/average experience/24/3 CL

Thank you capsaicin for the amount of information you always provide. At this point I am very much set on my roster. I will leave 6 spots open in case any teams fold this season and I need to save any player I need to. If anyone notices a team is dying and has any solid possible players please post here.

That sounds like a good idea.

You might be able to drop the Bombsville Atomics you added after the election.

I check for dying teams once in a while. In fact, I created a thread for people to post links to dying teams that never got used.

Those were the best players I found. Most of them are flawed/old or young/a season away. It looks like you added Curry (or maybe I hadn't noticed that he was already on the team earlier). Ulintz would be a solid choice for defensive depth (depending on what you already have to work with), or Parks would be a solid choice for another player that is pretty good now at a younger age. Baughman is another young player that could already be effective already. He's similar to Curry with much less experience and a slightly different training focus but is only 24 with 4 CL.

I added Curry to see if he is good. the problem is he has a 400 something shot

at this point I am going to leave the last 5 spots open for dead teams(which seems to happen a lot)

I was able to dismiss all of the 16 year olds I added from the Bombsville Atomics before the election. You should now be able to dismiss Wahl and Newcomb, and they will still go to a new team. I did the same with players from the Westchester Red Wings that I added last season after they went on the market, and they still went to a new team. The deadline for dismissing players will also come after the players from the Bombsville Atomics go to new teams.

Alright now that we have gotten a bit into the season its time to do some scouting. I have 5 World Championship teams that need to be scouted. I will do Canada on my own. I need people to cover Slovenia, Spain, Norway, and Italy. Who would like to scout out a team?
