I believe it is +1 for every game played and -1 for every game not played in hockey. But in soccer I noticed it's +1 for a friendly game and +5 for a competitive game while it's -1 for not playing a game.
From canucks answer, now I understand the question ! The chemistry gained by a player depends on game type (friendly, cup or league game), game importance (i mean a good opponent), number of lines used.
You get more chemistry even with out playing in football.
