They are the only value where you can see ho individual is playing and so the only way to ind out how train your team. So thats only way to become good manager. So there is no value?

You know the ratio and the skills you need to build up. So if you build up right attributes your grades will be higher. I don't need a grade to tell me where to put my forward player.

Where do you know ratio of skills? You have some memo that tells the exact ratio?

Well, I have memorised skill distrbutions for all positions, and it's really not that hard to calculate in your head 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 from A-skill when you change the training.

But even if you would know exact ratio...this small number wouldn't affect the grade (at least not in this stage of the game).

it may not be, but even in hockey noone knows the exact distribution. i could say it's really close to the real one and the best for now.

Yes but thats why ration is so important that you compare players and try to find nearest to optimal..

The nearest to optimal is already known. Besadies, on grades afect many variables (at least I think) factors not just the skills.

Yeah, you're right. I had this idea for a long time now; my players are usually trained in the same way and so I could not try that out. From what I heard and saw from other managers and teams I could not falsify my assumption (also the individual grades are rather low and don't vary much which makes jugdements difficult).
After your post and some thoughts I agree.

However, it still riddles me how the grades and the team strength are calculated. There are differences between the calculations of the star-rating and the grades of the keeper.

And I must also say that the nearest to optimal (whatever that means) is not known - at least to most of us. But maybe you have some special knowledge...

anyone got a clue to why I got more than half my team booked ? never changed a setting

Its possible the opposition has a setting for his team that gave you so many yellows.

For example, you may have played high aggression to your opponents lowest setting.
You also played normal to your opponents low, this may have an effect also.
