thanks. spain need to win both games, and really try to build their basket difference vs norway just in case.
I think there are some good young players coming through, but of course our supply will not be as big or good as some other countries.
its important that the best ones arent poorly trained.
So at the moment one of our tall centre prospects just isnt being trained properly which is a shame because not many players grow above 215cm

yeah i thought norway played a weak team but they didnt. their best team on very hard!

Well the Argentina team played their little socks off and beat Spain by 19 points! Argentina have qualified, whilst we are third and Spain fourth with one game left to play.

We have a better record than Spain, but if we do not beat France (and they beat Norway) we will have 4 wins each and then I think it comes down to basket difference.

Fortunately our basket difference is +25 and Spain's is -28 but of course this could change a lot in one game! Hopefully the UK boys can work hard and keep the game close

That was quite a poor show against France in the end even with our younger players playing. I think Spain pipped us to qualify by +1 basket difference :/ That's terrible. :<

Wow, just saw the final standings. So close to qualifying, unbelievably close... but well done to Fluff, that's probably the strongest campaign the seniors have played.

Thank you Apollinaire, I tried my best. Given all the new juniors entering the team i didnt think we'd have a chance. But we werent the only team doing that, and in fact the stronger teams were resting their best players for the qualifying stages. I'm gutted not to qualify after all that hard work in the earlier games!

i cant believe portugal made it to the WC finals! That could have been us!!!

I'm currently looking at adding and removing players from the senior NT. If you've got any players you want me to look at, message me.

Some players will be exiting over the next day or two. If there are some great 20 year olds, this may squeeze out some of the marginal players.

I also want to know if there are any 215-220cm beasts out there, or guys that are 16/17 yrs old and will be very tall so we can nurture them all the way through.

What you going to do with PG position? there is so many of them, currently all of them near to each other skillwise. Are you going to leave Beckham aside?

Hi Jonasgudd, yes our two friendlies were useful.

You make a very good point about the PG position. This is the position we have the strongest veteran and several young PGs with great qualities and CL paths.

If I'm re-elected I'm going to use Beckham this season because his experience and team chemistry will help us to be competitive against the other teams. However, I am going to balance this against bringing on two more Point guards who will ultimately replace him.

So expect to see me rolling Beckham in and out for other PGs.

I'm very pleased there is going to be competition for this spot on the team. I enjoy working with managers who are enthusiastic and are prepared to train their players well and to help fit in with the NT's needs. The successful PGs are also more likely to be on a team with good training facilities, and staff, and ultimately have a great CL path.

Your player Mayer is a good example being 22 years of age and still having a CL of 5/6.

Everyone has their views of the importance of shooting and defense, and at PG this is especially true. I would like to see the NT PGs meet certain minimum standards for blocking and shooting, but there is room for some of the PGs to have relatively high blocking.

The managers i have been working with have generally increased blocking and I believe this has helped us to remain competitive against otherwise superior teams.

What do you think Beckham's role should be?

i think Beckham should stay in NT this season and in starting 5. How to say that, he is oldie but goodie, his exp is amazing and doubles his possible replacments. If this season goes well he should play, if there will be no chance to qualify to playoffs then he should step aside. Instead depends on situation in a group i would start looking into Mahmood replacment in SG with one of the PG. I don't say Mahmood is bad but he lacks something. Since there is no real replacment for him and will not be in nearest seasons we need to look into other options. I think to try to convert one of the PG into SG is possible and would take up to 1 season to do it. of course i don't see real situation in NT but looking into last season games and current frendlies for me it looks like there is a hole not only in C possiton but also in SG.
