Congrats with another win. Had fun watching the match in first 2 quarters, sad about Mahmood in 3rd shooting and shooting and missing nearly all shots in this game and happy to see player off the bench scoring the points in the 3rd then it was really needed and of course the 4th quarter which was absolutely amazing.
Yet my eyes noticed the fact that some of the Spains best players did not played, but they put very high importance on this match. Another miscalculation by oponents? Well it only helps UK NT, if only Norway won against Argentina but unfortunately did not happen

Next game vs Argentina on the road will more than likely decide who ends up taking the third spot in our group.

Spain and maybe France have to consider playing their better players/higher effort to make sure they qualify.

Exciting times !

Yes it looks like Spain are resting some of their best players whilst building chemistry for their younger ones. I'm quite surprised they underestimated us after our first game was so close, but then if they think they can beat Norway and Argentina no problems, then they are almost certain to qualify.

France are doing a bit of resting and just down right not bothering with their effort levels! They are amazing at basketball without having to try - just like real life ;o)

Shooting guards can have horrible shooting percentages, but the main thing is that we had other offensive options. Spain have really good guards so its not surprising our guards might have struggled a bit.

He must have done his bit defensively too.

I do wish we had a shooting guard with better blocking!

OK so tonight's game is a huge one for our senior NT team. We play Argentina in their national arena at 9pm - if we beat them we are almost certain to qualify for the next round!

It is a BIG if though, as we lost against them in our first game and on paper their players are generally better than ours.

We are in a strong position though compared to Argentina. If we lose, we might still have a shot at qualifying if we beat Norway, but this would depend on other results. We also have a slightly better basket difference which I think it would come down to if teams are tied on points.

Argentina only have Spain and France to play who are the best teams in our group. They have been conserving their players and energy. Now all the teams have a similar record, they will be under pressure to secure at least one more victory.

Is it just me or has the game not started yet?

oh haha tip off is 11pm! Right, well I'll be asleep by then. The lads can handle it...

i expected the game also at 21, will have to wait for morning guess. i doub that we win, argentina will put everything they have.

Aw a very close game - we lost it in the last five minutes. Our last time out didnt stop their run and they pressed all the way to the end of the game :/
Still - 2 more games left so a lot to play for...

Just tipped off in our Norway game and Malfoy is getting busy already. I really hope we do well tonight and mix things up in our group!

Well we grabbed another win today and we deserved it. I think Norway played a younger squad to give them some experience but they did play well. I havent seen the box score yet.

Argentina lost to France, so France have qualified.

Its too close to call between us, Argentina and Spain though for the 2nd and 3rd spots. Spain have a game in hand against Norway and assuming they win, we will have the same record and a similar basket difference to us and Argentina.

In the last game, we play France on the road, but they have no need to waste any energy on trying to beat us (although I'm sure they will want to beat us!).

In the last game Argentina play Spain and undoubtedly they will play each other hard.

We could still qualify... the best outcome for us is if one of the other two wins by a large margin and if we lose, we lose by a small margin.

This is very exciting, I've never seen such a close group stage before.

I suspect Spain will win their next game against Argentina and their last game against Norway, so we will know when we play France in a week time how close we need to keep the game to qualify.

Spain i think will go all out next game, don't think they will risk loosing.

Sad junior UK NT are not doing that well. I guess it means in far future senior NT will be doomed as no good young player available
