You got unlucky on the tactics and their home ice advantage bit you hard, none of this is your fault. Considering, y'know, you're playing a good number of 17yos, that's actually not so bad.
I think I'd play Craddock ahead of Gagné from now on, though. That's 2 games in a row that Gagné just flakes out after the 1st period. that extra Defense might actually mean something after all!

I'd also play A. Gregoire instead of J. Clayton, because Clayton's Tec is just baaaad. But that's just me?
I don't think home ice advantage means anything at the world's. Losing to Austria is a disgrace, although I noticed that their GM is pretty damn smart from last season, but, still, we see it as a disgrace. Yeah...numbers say that Gagne is better, a lot better at this stage of development. He hit tactics on the first period so I hate to blame Gagne but you might be right. Clit will make more decisions tonight because the window is open and I am spending a lot of time near it and looking down...and yeah, the D is good but no goals in two games. That is a much bigger problem.
Ugh. This game is tough...

Btw, there are like 4 U18 players on the market right now, whom would definitely be staples on the U20 but have low C/Ls. It would be a pretty lame loss if they all went to teams with poor facilities :/ I might just nab 1 or 2 of them just to keep them trained over the next 2 seasons, even though I'm already 1 player above the limit and paying fees. I have nothing else to spend my money on right about now xD
See how dedicated I am to my country? lol (Also, I failed going to I.1 this season, so might as well do something productive, lol)

For me, sadly, I spend my time sweating if it is worth splashing 2.9M on a seemingly useless hot dog stand or saving it for a (very long) in the future L14 facility that will still take 3 months of real time to build...you have good problems. I can't afford Canadian level talent so as a national GM I still borrow other guys' dogs for the weekend to give me the illusion of companionship and dignity...[sideways, forlorn looking icon]
I just spent about 150M saving all 3 of our players from the claws of a team that only had lvl 1 facilities. I have no idea how they even got the money to put 40+ M on a single player o.O
You're welcome! XD
Btw, why were they all ending within seconds of each other... At 3 freakin AM?! Was the original owner TRYING to make sure they didn't stay in canada? Even for tge west coast, that still woulda been midnight! It's only a coincidence i woke up just in time to do this o.o

Yeah, I saw that. Actually, you saved them for your team...this is their last day at U18. My kid bought one of the batch as well. Looks like a lot of them will stay in NA. I am assuming that their GM is leaving the game - your Div, I know they weren't happy with something about the game last season. Any time a senior player from Canada drops the game we all lose...sad really...
Dangelo is actually only 17, so he's got another year on the U18, and the other 2 have such high OR and Qs they're pretty sure spots for next 2 season's U20. But they have such crap CL that beyond that they'll be kind of useless, so I'll probably sell them when they turn 21.
Well, we are going down. I will damn myself for the Austria loss for a long time. What happened to our offense we have absolutely no idea...the 2-1 win over the Dutch really shows how bad our O really was. How did we lose to the Romanians? Hit tactics all 3 periods and an 0-3 scoreline...This was a long and ugly World's...
We take full blame. But just one sour grapes - thanks to the Dutch GM for giving up a day early and not bothering to set lines for the final game. Should we be lucky enough to ever be put in the same position in Division 1 I would be more than happy to get a bit more sleep and watch Holland drop another notch to Division II...

I bid on a bunch of those kids at first, but their C/L was pretty off putting with the season about to end and potential drops
Well, the first day of this starts... Ouch! (although some of these players are almost as good as some of my vets that only play a few games a season, so I might be cleaning house a lil soon)
Fee amount 284,499
Number of players in the team 44

Um, well no, some of my old guys are, but the new ones still have a bit of a way to go, lol. Anyways, I got time and spare cash, and 5* GS and MS offers I accepted.

As for the U18 situation there is no honor among thieves...John Clit and I will fall upon each other tonight and duel it out for respect in a low-level, late-night Juvenile style Friday night slugfest at the Briar Patch down here in Dunnville...
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the GM's of Canada for again voting us as GM of the Canadian U18 Team. A rational, clear thinking individual would undoubtedly attest this victory to the absence of competition that we faced. But, especially with my bottom of the barrel standards, I look upon this season's win as a clear vindication of my management's team performance at the helm!
We view the competition at Division I with confident concern. We accept the fact that they will provide us with stern competition and a serious challenge to our aspirations to again reach Division Top. At the same time, we are excited about the occasional opportunity to beat the living #&%^ out of another team for instant gratification.
I have already offered my assistant, John Clit, the job as number 2 on the club. Worringly, he failed to provide a definite decision and only mumbled some inaudible words - the only clear syntax I could pick up was the word "stigma" and "reputation going forward". I understand that he will again return to Vietnam and hopefully, with him closer to the decision making process, I can convince him to again provide his invaluable assistance to the team.
Again, thank you all for trusting us with the wheel to the vehicle! Not sure why but we will certainly have fun in the front seat!

As for the team, we are pleased to announce that 12, yes 12 returnees to the team came back with significant chemistry, mostly on defence. This is our payback for demotion so it is bittersweet but it sure helps and we will continue this pattern as long as we are in charge. Canuck357 mentioned about balancing the situation with 18 and 17 year old's and, with the lack of talent available from Canadian teams, it is our mission to maintain a strong and young Canadian national Junior team. Most of our tips on players have come from Europe so far so, for all Canadian teams with a decent Academy and Training facilities, please don't be shy to send us names and preferably playing numbers for any guys you think that will help us. We are interested in of course 17-18 year old's but we also will cap some 16 year old's and will take their numbers for our database for next season even if we don't take them now. All positions are in need and especially a 17 year old (and 16 year old) GOALIE for the future. We will be looking in your windows for talent anyways but we don't always find everybody so please let us know if we miss someone.
Thanks!
Thanks!
