he's for sale, so I can't make any promises with his future training. Didn't seem to have that much potential compared to Bibby and Gregoire, but who knows if you could do something with him?

In a desperate situation, my 16 year old will be decent eventually. But not NT quality (unless things have gotten really bad?) due to the low Agr %. Tec is great though. Ervin Lévesque
It isn't so much that we are desperate for 16 year old's, it is more that there doesn't appear to be a great depth of talent at the older ages and thus we are looking to fill out the roster from below. Now that we understand how to set the schedule for the first two games of the following season, we won't need to waste that first game on a forfeit and the kids from one season are the 17 year old starters for the next.
We have had good response from Canadian GM's so thanks! We are good at center and decent-good on the wings. We need defence again, 17 or 18 year olds - the more depth the better. We only have eight called up for the weekend and three of them are high-chemistry returnees from last season that we prefer not to play, so, if you know anyone...We could use at least one more goalie, esp. a young 16 year old for the future. Most of our remaining call ups will come early next week once we have some more scouting numbers. Most players sent to us will make the team, we are guessing, at least on paper that is...
The volume of young Canadian talent is in decline. That appears to be a sad reality now and for the immediate future unless more GM's invest in facilities/Canadian talent...
We appear to be experiencing the same problem in the basketball program. To make matters worse, some tier one owners have retired leaving even fewer quality facilities. The reasons for leaving are not always known/clear, BUT there are several owners out there who are willing to help if you have become disillusioned because you feel that your path to the top has become stagnated.
I like to look at is a challenge. I fell in love with the Expos when they consistently put out high quality product in a completely unfair playing environment. We will try our best to emulate...
We are facing the potentially awkward reality that we might have to use a 16 year old defenceman on the run-up to this season's Worlds. In principle this isn't a problem but it speaks volumes about our blue line's ability to weather an injury and, more importantly, the rear guard situation for next season's team. We still have a dozen or so guys on the scouting lists but it seems that the picks and pulls the past few seasons haven't been good to Canada on the blue line. Our fingers are crossed. Our conclusion to this is that, with a good starting eight for this season, the time is now for this team and whoever runs the U18 next season will probably be thinking more about survival in the top flight.
We are pleased to announce the following four as new additions to Season 27's line up.
Devon Craddock 18 - G - Reflex Montreal
Mark Peluso 17 - UD - QC Nordiques
Clinton Hollander 18 - RW - Montreal Nanosurgeons

And only one day of scouting left...We now have the bare minimum for Defence (in our minds) so again to Canadian GM's - if you have any 16 year old's, OR 550+ please send us and we will cap around four of them. Will we play them? Probably not but this season it is possible. Here is the logic:
Czech Rep, the last time we looked at least, play all 18 year olds. And you can be sure that there are a hell of a lot of other really good 18 year olds that get picked over. We don't have that luxury - five of our defencemen on the roster are 17 year olds and we took almost every guy on our list of possibles. This means half of the blueline next season will be underage (based on five lines) and we can't win like that. The only way to deal with this problem would be to jack up the chemistry of the players and we can do that through games played and ice time. Still one hand tied behind the back but not as bad. Therefore we need the 16 year olds on the list and able to play down the stretch of this season (maybe) and definitly for game one of next season, regardless of who is running the team. I think this is termed "stretching talent"...

I can promise William Sutton (653 OR 16 yo UD) will keep growing at his current rate!
And also, I will start scouting up younger players once I get back home, since we have most of our U20 squared away for now.
Also just noticing now but... How did one of the players end up being called Maria?! Boy must the other boys have a field day... Or maybe she has her own locker room?
