I agree 100%
This game is about money more than anything else.
Only rich teams can reach the top.
If the the sponsors were reduced by half and the tactics had some kind of improvement the game would be more atractive.

If I had an easy way to make money and overpower you with super elite players, or I had to spend hours investigating tactics and trends, I'd just make the money and stomp you regardless of tactics.
I don't do this, but I was role playing.

True that. It would just give people another choice. At least people wouldn´t be forced day-traders. Some/most people most likely would do it anyway, but I´m pretty sure it would reduce it still.
I thought that this game is trying to simulate real world as well as possible.
How many poor teams you know on real world that are top teams? Barcelona? Chelcea?

I have even simpler solution. Player salaries. Raise them to the same level as the staff salaries then day traders just cannot afford to have so many players. This also lowers the market value of players because nobody have the funds to pay 100M for star players.
There was also a suggestion a while ago to limit the number of players who can train, or if all are allowed to train, then they shouldn't be able to train at 100%.
This Ice Hockey... not soccer.
They are 2 different worlds.
Not comparable at all.

Why isn't it comparable?
This game follows the same model as professional soccer. Hockey has trades, soccer has transfers. Soccer has tiered divisions, hockey has minor leagues. Soccer teams have Sports Academies, hockey doesn't.

I think thats the point, were trying to get the hockey sim to be more like hockey and less like soccer.
It all boils down to wanting to have the chance to compete and really whichever teams came out on top of each countries I.1 in the first two seasons will be the top team for a really really long time. There are a few exceptions but not many.

Prove it. How many USA, or in my case Canadian, are in Div I now that started in Div I?
opivy, you started the game 50 days into the first season in Div III. You're in 1st place in Div II today. You have a very good chance of being one of only 20 teams in Div I next season. You say you want to have a chance to compete? It appears to me that you're doing quite well. Or am I missing something?
-Soccer teams have Sports Academies, hockey doesn't.-
That is true, in North America.
For exampel, in sweden we have a lot of have a Sports Academys
-Hockey has trades, soccer has transfers.-
That is also true, but they dont buy players cheap and sell them after a short while to make a profit.
They buy them to train so they might take a spot i the team.

And we will have to live with this 'trading problem' as long as the developers dont finish one sim, before they start the next one
Well if I choose not to daytrade, ppl who actually use daytrading will just be even better then now.. I cant really see why someone WANT to have an OK for daytraders, WHY? Why let ppl daytrade? Does the PPM team just want ppl to quit or what?
