*stones* You said..
"I also think (and I'll be stoned for this smiles), they help to create prices for players, the player will be sold only for price he is worth
I also think the mastery of DTs is to buy player for very low price, not to sell them high "
Forgive my bluntness, but absolute 100% BS!
Day Traders push the prices of players UP! 1 atty junk players are selling for 10x more than they should, which in turn is pushing GOOD players up in price even more.

The problem with the system is simply this... if you want to be a good team and compete with the top guys, you NEED to do day trading. Sure there are some who don't and are up there, but i would wager that most of them started in the top league after the restart.
I've been trying to play this game the ethical way, only selling players who are worth selling, only keeping players who are worth keeping and it's gotten me nowhere. In fact, while i'm working hard to build a solid fair team, crap teams with lower OTR and puck ratings (which are a stupid waste of time) are beating me and dropping me down the league standings.
Of course, by dropping lower in the standings, come the off-season i'll get an even LOWER sponsor offer, while the scum day traders who cheated to get good teams are going to get great sponsor deals and get all this extra cash to help build their already strong teams.
How the **** is that good for the game???

trueblue55, people will only pay so much for one-atty junk.
I don't like how the game promotes disparity between Tiers. I don't blame the Day Traders or One-Atty Junk seller.

There seems to be an assumption the only way to be a "day trader" is to sell 1 atty junk. What about those who buy young players, add value to create a well trained and balanced player, and then sell it? While that player is on the team he also may end up making the main team. Basically tho, the time of the trainer who specializes is selling high dollar 1 atty junk is drawing to a close. The reason is the nooby that would pay prices in upper range are less and less. As people learn more there will be less and less of a market, and already is. The downside is those swindlers who have profited from such a practice are already reaping the benefits.
Personally I think there should be a roster cap of 50 players. You need to have reserves as well as trainees. For example. as it stands right now only the best of 15yr old are going to make the active roster. They need a while to train up first. So 22 players, plus 16 reserves minimum to play while running camp, plus 20% being groomed for the following year is at least 41 required.
I also like Opivy's idea of some sort of salary cap, but I have no idea how it could be fairly executed. I also don't think the devs have any interest in doing anything to change the day trader practices at all.

WTF is day trading. Stop using that term everybody. There is no day trading in this game. If you buy a player on the market, you have him for 50 days!!!!
That's a good point! The act of flipping players for profit is what is being called day trading. I can see the parallel but as many differences between the RL act of day trading tho.
From now on we'll call it 50-day trading
hahahah
Seriously though, i've no problem with people training up legitimate players and selling them for profit. It's the 1 atty junk players who are the issue.

1 Atty Junk Dealers is another good name.

Took a look at the Top 10 Most Expensive:
7 players are well trained
2 have low OR but high Q
1 player is 1 Atty Junk
A couple of seasons ago the Top 10 Most Expensive would have surely had more 1 Atty Junk players. I agree with what Eeoulo has said: 1 Atty Junk training then selling is no longer lucrative.
This is why the existing system is so good. It's a free market, so the only thing that dictates how much a player is worth is how much someone is willing to pay.

With the OTR decrease at the end of the season, is it possible to start the next season with a lower OTR than we started the current season with?
I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. If you don't win enough to regain that offset amount you're sliding downhill :/
Welcome to my @#%#@ world
Losing to weaker teams, at that.

Well my ex. of 40 players was just a number, why dont make it 50 then? These players like formiga10(Gladiatores) just destryos the game, 90players and 40 employes just to earn money doing something the devs could easliy stop..
They just dont care about the game, it will only get more boring if the only way to climb is to be a trader instead of a manager..

Well I can say that he has to be skilled at both to suceed, BUT

He has that for sale right now...... 222 Defense and a bunch of garbage otherwise, but the guy has 22 exp which means he's played quite a bit. Bit puzzling but definitely 1 atty crap.
The real key is that in real life there are swindlers and cheaters, sometimes they win, sometimes they lose - either way you only have yourself to answer to, if you think its dirty and unfair then don't do it, if you think it's part of the game then go for it.
Life is like a box of chocolates, and sometimes a poodle took a crap where one of your chocolates were supposed to be. I hope you don't eat that one.
