Honestly I'll be very surprised if you manage to keep up. The issue with having old players is that every year your team increases much less than other teams do, and so, in comparison, you get worse and worse. Your only salvation is to keep buying new, better players and selling off your lower OR squad.
I'm counting on this to hopefully win it this year.

i'll be afk for about two weeks. I make no guarantees about checking in, but just to keep thing safe, I've set all my teams to VL. Have fun, chaps!
The penalties are clearly tied into the teams overall strength, the team with the lower OR will ALWAYS foul the shit out of the other team. For phucks sake, this BS keeps up i wont have any players left to play the next game.
6 yellow cards and 1 red, in one game. WTF. on normal aggression.
Beginning to think PPM is doing this intentionally since i call them out for their shitty penalties in basketball. Not sure i have enough players left to play the next game.
Can i automatically forfeit?

That's not so bad. In las ICC final, I played on normal and 2 defenders got red cards... The other team played on aggressive and only had 2 yellows if I remember correctly...... Now THAT is BS
You were outmatched, when you are outmatched you will commit more fouls, just natural because you are constantly getting beat so your players stick out their legs and trip someone.
Yeah, i can understand the logic behind that, but still...in all the years i played soccer, i can't recall out of the hundreds and hundreds of matches i've played where thee were that many cards dropped. I'd rather lose by ten goals than half my team be ineligible to play again.
Just in shock...WOW.

Well, the biggest reason for any card issued is the level of the foul - players with low technique (rating) will almost always foul a player with really high technique. That's why I always train my players with technique, to avoid the high number of fouls that pervade some of the PPM matches.
I think this is how the foul hierarchy goes:
Technique >>> Match Setting (VH to VL) >>> Aggressiveness >>> bad eggs?

This is kind of late, but youshould watch the Argentine derbies (River-Boca, Rosario Central-Newell's, Colon-Union) because these games almost always end with less than 22 players. I remember a River Boca a few years ago where about 15 yellow cards were handed out
