FML! I couldn't log in all day and lost one of the most important games so far! FFFFFKKKKK!!
first time ever I got a draft player who's worth something - "hidden gem" is the message, evidently...
10 more matchdates until SYFC unveils the 7th sortofannual Team of the Season. This time, I'm thinking about adding a few spots for the "Leaky Bum" Award (team that lets in the most goals), the "Where's the F***ing Quarterback?" Award (player with the most red cards), the "Sore Losers" Award (team with the worst disciplinary record - R = 2Y), and maybe a "coaches' choice" for something (I don't know?). Let me know what y'all think of it.
I think it's an interesting idea to add team awards. A few more ideas are:
- Best defence (the team that lets in the least amount of goals)
- Best offensive duo (the team that has the most goals for adding up their two best strikers, i.e. atm it would be My team with 91, 55 from Asplund + 36 from Truong, while second would be Loverboys with just 1 goal less, 90, with 48 and 42 from Schaum and Wahlberg respectively)
- Best player in offence (adding up goals AND assists (i.e. atm it would be Rufus Benedict with 57+14=71)

I like all the suggestions. I always enjoy reading your yearly award list. Its so much better than PPM team of the season which is usually just a joke anyways.

Cool. First season up here in II (I had a team in II-1 a few seasons ago, but had to unplug for a bit and they folded). Nice to see some activity in the forums. I don't know how you'd do it, but you could have a "Lukas Podolski Award" for a quality player who doesn't leave the bench. Maybe someone with a high OR who played no competitive matches (kinda like Mr. Podolski). Just a thought.
ASDenisov - didn't notice you posted this season's awards. I like the new additions, trying to figure why the Podolski Award winner didn't play unless its simply because he was a new signing.
Good stuff, some Emus players are inspired to try for the new awards next season!
yeah, he was signed for the last 8 games basically... not sure how I'm going to do that next season - maybe some rotating random award for something really interesting.
