Yea... I went all out to win the league and then ran camps but either way I would not have won it. No gas in the tank.
You can set up something like it if you have the right players.
4-3-3:
4 defenders
2 CDM and 1 CM
2 wide forwards with strong midfield rating and 1 CS
OR
4-5-1:
4 defenders
2 CDM, 1 CM, and 2 wide attacking midfielders
1 CS
Not a perfect match, but with the PPM game mechanics, that's what a 4-2-3-1 should look like.

My best defender is out...with, of ALL THINGS...a "Left hand burn".
HUH? I've played soccer for roughly 15 years, and NEVER heard of such an injury in soccer that prevented one from playing such as a HAND burn. Come on PPM, are we getting desperate or what?
Phucking strap on your big boy pants and come up with something legit.

Maybe he stuck his hand inside the toaster to see if the bread was done.
They should split up up the lineup even more, i.e. atm there is no point in training a CAM in offence, since that is still the Midfield. (for a real life example, in ppm, where would you play Hazzard or Di María so that they perform at their best?? YOU CAN'T!!)
Instead, they should split it into more sections, like this:
Forward
CAM
Midfield
CDM
Defence
I agree with the current concept that there needs to be some variation, for ex, like how wide to play, but there needs to be a specific area, i.e. CDM and CAM where players NEED a mixture of midfield and offence (for CAM) or defence (for CDM)
Basically, All I'm saying is that they should split up the midfield into 3 sections

Actually, I've been cross-training my players for a while now, because the match program does account for players' other ratings. A CDM type player would be trained in midfield with a secondary rating in defense. A CAM type player would be trained in midfield with a secondary attack rating. To be fair, I haven't had a lot of players with a high enough rating to see any significant effect, but that's the theory at least, and I do know that for my growing CDM players, the defense rating is improving with their improvement.
But how much? I think this might be a placeebo-effect type of thing. For ex my 41-rated CAM has less than 30 offence... I don't see any correlation whatsoever between off and CAM in him
Maybe your players are just increasing due to exp, not def/off training
